Super Bowl hero gives back by working a drive-thru shift at Checkers

Super Bowl hero gives back by working a drive-thru shift at Checkers Cooper DeJean swaps the gridiron for the grill with a drive-thru shift at Checkers. One day, we'll all be old and grey. If we're fortunate, we'll be able to spend hours on the porch in our recliners or rocking chairs, talking to the grandchildren about the Philadelphia Eagles' glory days. Two of the stories they'll probably hear repeatedly will be about Brandon Graham's strip-sack of Tom Brady in Super Bowl 52 and Cooper DeJean's pick-six interception in football's biggest game seven years later. Every once in a while, moments happen, and we know we'll never forget where we were when they occurred. A three-play sequence during the second quarter of Super Bowl 59 might be among the most incredible defensive series in franchise history. Vic Fangio's unit sacked Patrick Mahomes on consecutive plays. Leading to the first interception by an Eagle in the big game and a return for the ages. Don't take anyone else's word for it. Take a look for yourselves. That never gets old. That's just as exciting as it was when it happened live. Cooper DeJean will work a drive-thru shift at Checkers before the Eagles begin OTAs. Year two is loading for Cooper DeJean and the other Eagles' 2025 draft class members. The organized team activities (OTA) dates are May 27-28, May 30, June 2-3, and June 5. Coop has been keeping himself busy in the meantime. He and Reed Blankenship (the Exciting Whites) have launched their 'Exciting Mics' podcast. Recently, per a report, DeJean will also give back by working a shift at the drive-thru window at Checkers on Saturday, May 17, from 6:30-7 p.m. EST at 9173 Roosevelt Blvd. This comes after he hosts a youth football camp at the Haverford School in Delaware County. In celebration of 'Cooping Up Fries,' Checkers will donate $0.33 from every sale of large fries from Friday to Sunday to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia. In addition, every 100th customer on Saturday and Sunday will receive an autographed hat signed by DeJean. Here's a tip of the cap to an Eagles legend in the making. Hats off to Checkers. Hats off to everyone involved.
