Revealed: The VERY swanky dishes dined on at David Beckham's star-studded 50th birthday party

's 50th birthday party was certainly one to remember - with a host of star-studded guests all enjoying a delectable meal. Last night, the former England captain hosted a glamorous dinner party at swanky Notting Hill London restaurant Core by Clare Smyth, which has no less than three Michelin stars. Footballer David has already celebrated with a black tie pre-birthday bash in Miami, a family gathering at his £10million home in the Cotswolds and a family lunch in Paris. And the bash on Saturday night was no less glamorous - as Northern Irish chef Clare, 46, who credits Gordon Ramsay with helping her to break into the industry, also boasts having catered for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 's wedding in 2018. Guests gathered at Core, which first opened in 2017 just months after Clare left her post at Gordon Ramsay's eatery, a fine-dining restaurant that focuses on 'natural, sustainable food'. The seven course menus start at £420 a head including the addition of a wine pairing, which adds £165 to each bill. The glamorous eatery serves three different menus, Core Seasons, priced at £265 per person, Core Classics costing £255 and the A La Carte option for £225 dinner service. Yesterday, the Instagram account for Core by Clare shared a number of snaps of posh looking grub which may have been served at the Beckham party last night. The star-studded chef put on a delectable spread for the Beckham's A-lister guests, treating them to a selection of dishes, designed with seasonality and sustainability in mind. These included a scallop tartare with sea vegetable consommé served elegantly in shell and perched over the top of a wreath of florals. Elsewhere on Core's popular Classics menu is a secondary course consisting of potatoes, seaweed infused dulse beurre blanc sauce, herring and trout roe. The menu also includes a roasted cod dish, which is served with Morecambe bay shrimps, Swiss chard and brown butter. Another dish consisting of Norfolk purple-top turnip, walnut, brassica leaves and nutmeg follows next, quickly succeeded by a portion of Herdwick lamb served with asparagus, peas and mint sauce. To complete the seven course meal, the eatery serves two sweet dishes - one which includes apple with toffee and Somerset cider brandy, and finally a wild strawberry dish served onto a bed of meringue and lemon verbena. Other dishes served on the Seasonal menu at the reputable venue include a langoustine with wasabi pea rose geranium and almond, as well as a Cornish turbot smoked mussels, red apple, cabbage and cider. Gordon Ramsay cut a dapper figure in a white tuxedo, while his wife Tana wowed in a pale blue satin dress as they arrived to celebrate their close pal David The Seasonal option - which is the most expensive tasting experience - also serves Merrifield farm duck morels, wild garlic and chaga sauce, as well as a Crispy veal sweetbread served with honey, mustard and Norfolk kohlrabi. Last night, the father-of-four was surrounded by family, including his wife Victoria was by his side for the star-studded event, alongside their kids, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and 13-year-old Harper. Seated alongside the Beckham's were a number of high profile guests, including Tom Cruise, close friends, Gordon and Tanya Ramsay, Eva Longoria and Gary Neville. Missing from the extensive swathe of party goers were David's son, Brooklyn, 26, and his wife, Nicola, 30, who reportedly flew back to the US on Saturday before the party kicked off, after reports of 'a growing rift' between the oldest Beckham child and his parents. Guests last night were treated a party packed with decadent food prepared by the Michelin star chef, Clare Smyth. Clare Symth has won dozens of awards over the course of career, becoming the first woman to hold three Michelin stars when she presided over Gordon Ramsay's restaurant on Royal Hospital Road. Of the 121 British Michelin-starred restaurants at the time of her appointment, only seven had female head chefs. Clare, who received the accolade at the World's 50 Best Restaurants gala was also given the honour of being the chef to cater for Prince Harry and Meghan's wedding in 2018. 'The fairytale story was my lasting memory from the wedding,' she told Hello!. 'It couldn't have been more perfect... it was completely surreal.' The Michelin chef described the couple as 'just brilliant'. 'They were involved in the menu, it was very important to them... it's a once in a lifetime thing so it's nice to be a part in it,' she told the magazine. Clare is believed to have prepared an organic menu that included posh burgers with Wagyu beef and pork belly for guests invited to the Frogmore House reception following Harry and Meghan's spectacular ceremony in 2018. Her restaurant, Core, earned three Michelin stars in the 2021, having received two stars in 2018. Speaking in a 2023 documentary on Channel 5, private club Mosimann's Managing Director Mark, whose family has provided bespoke catering services for several royals, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, described how Meghan and Harry worked with chef Clare Smyth to create a bespoke menu for their wedding. There were even some Port Wine Gums made made with Taylor's 1984 port from Harry's christening on offer. 'They were some of Meghan's favourite dishes from the restaurant,' he told the programme. 'So they had a potato and roe starter, they had roast chicken for main course, and they had a strawberry and lemon verbena for dessert.' Details from inside the evening celebrations at t Frogmore House revealed that guests – including George and Amal Clooney and Sir Elton John – spent the evening sipping bespoke cocktails, tucking into 'dirty burgers' and candyfloss from outdoor stalls and dancing to a trendy DJ.
