A nine-year-old boy has died after being struck by a school bus in Almonte, Ont. Wednesday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police said in a post on X at 4:10 p.m. that it was investigating a serious collision on Paterson Street.
OPP Const. Corey Noonan says the boy was riding a bike at the time.
The road will be closed for several hours as an investigation continues, police say,
Detours will be in place at Morton Street and Tatra Street. Police are asking the public to avoid the area.
