Companies speak out about Masters Home Rentals

COLUMBIA COUNTY, G.A. (WJBF)- We're just two months away from the week golfers and patrons look forward to most– the Masters. But in what shape has hurricane Helene left local rental homes in? With just 10 weeks to the Masters Tournament, local rental home companies are dotting all their I's and crossing all their Tee's of all thing's debris clean up. 'It will look a little different– the landscaping, the homes won't have a lot of trees…' Corporate Quarters Director of Operations and Events Kelly Starr said. While the hurricane has left the CSRA with severe through several parts, Corporate Quarter's Director of Operations and Events, Kelly Starr says what her properties have experienced is nothing that can't be fixed. 'Luckily a lot of our homeowners were spared, their homes may have some exterior damage, but a lot of them were very very lucky.' Starr explains crews are actively working as quickly as possible under a 10-week deadline. 'Some homeowners are desperately waiting on debris to be picked up, I know the contractors have been working overtime to try to get our city back to normalcy but there's still a lot of homeowners that have damage to their roofs that have tarps over them. So, the patrons and clients are just gonna have to be patient and know that the Masters are still going on, the homeowners are doing the best they can to get the homes ready but it will look different this year.' Starr tells me these rental homes have become home away from home for many of her clients. 'When the Hurricane hit, our clients called and said is Augusta okay, are the homeowners okay, are their homes okay, are their homes gonna be ready for Masters. Thankfully they've had some time but everybody– the big question is when are the roads gonna be cleaned up…' Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
