One taken to hospital from Corryton crash
CORRYTON, Tenn. (WATE) — Rural Metro Fire responded to a crash in Corryton on Tuesday that left one person with serious injuries.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Tazewell Pike at East Emory Road around 8:45 p.m. Crews arrived at the scene to find one person still trapped in one of the cars.

Firefighters were able to free the trapped occupant. They were transported to a trauma center with what appeared to be serious injuries, according to a Rural Metro spokesperson. The other person refused medical treatment at the scene.
