Seemingly by accident, Costco shoppers have discovered yet another delicious dupe. On Reddit this week, a fan of the warehouse hopped on the website to rave about The Pizza Cupcake, a savory item that can be found in the frozen foods section at Costco. In their post, they admitted that the snack was "pretty tasty." And if The Pizza Cupcake sounds familiar that's likely because the frozen food made its television debut on the reality competition show, Shark Tank. On the show, the creators of The Pizza Cupcake were able to successfully secure an investment from Lori Greiner. Related: Despite this TV fame, in the comments section of the Reddit post, The Pizza Cupcake received plenty of comparisons to Little Caesars' fan-favorite Pepperoni Crazy Puffs. The puffs, which come four-per-order, are hand-held pizzas with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and pizza sauce topped with a buttery-garlic flavored drizzle, Italian herb and parmesan seasoning. One person pointed out that given the cost of The Pizza Cupcakes, Little Caesars might be the better option given that they're freshly-made. "12 for 11.89 puts them at $1/unit. Little Caesar's sells them for the same price and they are fresh made," they wrote. And there were plenty of other comments referencing Little Caesars. "Lil Caesar makes them now," another person chimed in. There was one person who flat out stated that the The Pizza Cupcake is "not worth it." A Costco employee has rounded up a list of the nine best things on the store's shelves right now. Veronica Thatcher, who has worked at the warehouse chain for 19 years, said she always looks forward to seeking out fun new products the store is offering. 'This month, the warehouse is carrying lots of great items for spring, including tasty treats and fun outdoor accessories,' Thatcher wrote for Business Insider. Some of the Costco products are pricey and grand, while others are much more affordable. Thatcher included some items that are edible, some that are convenient for the home, and some that are fun for customers of all ages. Her selections are some of around 4,000 products available to purchase at a single Costco store. The warehouse chain carries fewer items than major competitors like Walmart, but it does this purposefully to keep track of stock and offer better value. Despite the store missing out on the top spot in America's grocery wars, Thatcher insisted these Costco products are still must-buys. Chicken and salami sandwiches Chicken and salami sandwiches are one of many items customers can find in a Costco deli section. Thatcher said these sandwiches are a great option for customers who are 'short on time' to prepare meals. 'Served with a side of tortellini pasta salad, the sandwiches are topped with tomatoes and Swiss cheese,' she wrote, adding they come with a mayonnaise packet. Costco sandwich prices vary depending on location, but shoppers usually find them costing only $6.99. Chocovia Dubai-style chocolates The Dubai-style chocolates have received mixed reviews from Reddit users, but Thatcher believes they are worth purchasing. 'At my store, I've noticed lots of people coming in specifically to buy this item,' she wrote. 'When we first started stocking the chocolates, they sold out within two days.' However, the one Thatcher insists is the best at Costco is its Lumi Glotion. Thatcher pointed out that it can be used as a primer, bronzer, or a highlighter, and comes in different shades. Prices for this product depend on location, but the same Glotion is available at CVS for $16.99. Ion Luma Duo lantern speakers Costco's Ion Luma Duo lantern speakers are available to purchase for $79.99 The pair of speakers are perfect for entertaining guests outside. Strawberry streusel cheesecake Thatcher and several social media users praised Costco's seasonal strawberry streusel cheesecake online One of the seasonal items that social media users can't stop raving about is the strawberry streusel cheesecake. 'The rich cheesecake filling is surrounded by a sweet graham cracker crust and topped with layers of strawberry and buttery streusel crumbs,' Thatcher explained. 'In my opinion, it's a dessert that will definitely leave you wanting seconds.' Shoppers interested in seeing if this is true can buy the cheesecake at their local Costco for $26.90. Smart Solar Bird Feeder The Smart Solar Bird Feeder is a fun addition to a backyard. 'Nothing screams spring like bird watching, and with this solar-powered smart bird feeder, you can keep an eye on your feathered friends even when you're not home,' Thatcher wrote. Stuart police issue over 30 parking tickets during Costco's opening weekend
STUART — Over 30 parking tickets were issued by the Stuart Police Department on opening weekend for the new Costco store on South Kanner Highway, according to police officials. Stuart police issued 31 parking tickets at Costco on April 25-27, according to police spokesperson Lt. Brian Bossio. The parking ticket fines varied from parking in a fire lane, $25; obstructing traffic, $50; and parking 15 feet from a fire hydrant, $25. Bossio said Costco hired three Stuart police officers to assist with traffic issues and monitoring the parking lot. The officers were off duty, which means they were working as Stuart police officers and had full authority, but they were not subjected to calls those days. Eager shoppers, some with carts in hand, wait outside the building and in the crowded parking lot for the grand opening of the new Costco Warehouse on April 25, 2025 in Stuart. Stuart police wrote tickets for illegal parking along Southeast Legacy Way, a new street that connects South Kanner Highway with Willoughby Boulevard, Bossio said April 25. The parking tickets were placed on the cars not handed to people, Bossio said some people called the Stuart Police Department and were not happy about getting a ticket. "No one is happy getting a parking ticket, but all of the tickets that were issued were based around public safety," Bossio said May 5. The parking lot has 1,725 spaces, but appeared full by about 8:15 a.m. opening day, April 25. People drove around the lot waiting for shoppers to leave and some parked illegally along the curb.
