The 2025 Met Gala will be held on Monday, May 5, with the red carpet event set to commence at 4:30 PM (EST).
The much-awaited MET Gala 2025 is all set to unfold, marking another star-studded gathering for celebrities and pop culture enthusiasts. The annual event, which guides the spring exhibit for the Costume Institute at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, is rightfully dubbed fashion's biggest night, bringing their A-game to the red carpet.
This year, the theme centres around Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, celebrating the style, politics, and history of the style Black men dress.

Inside The Met Gala
Organised by Anna Wintour at the Metropolitan Museum of Art every year, celebrities get to walk up the famous MET steps every year. However, this is where the public part stops, as once everyone is inside, phones are turned off and the media remains absent.
Or as Vogue simply puts it, 'In short: It's a secret. For this reason, guests must abide by the no phone (and therefore, no social media) policy." But as the saying goes, rules are meant to be broken. A couple of inside pictures still manage to make it to the public, including the famous bathroom selfies.

Beginning from the carpet, celebrities arrive in their best ensemble, adhering to the theme for the evening. Next to follow is the cocktail hour, where the celebrities and other guests socialise and enjoy a tour of the actual exhibit. The exhibit will also open to the public on May 10 and will close on October 26, 2025. They later sit down for a formal dinner, complete with properly assigned seating, as per Cosmopolitan. Last but not least, every year, at least one fancy performer puts on a grand show at the Met Gala, with Ariana Grande delivering a stunning performance last year.

Met Gala 2025
A charity event, the Met Gala is organised as a fundraiser, traditionally timed to mark the opening of the department's annual fashion exhibition. This year, the 2025 Met Gala will take place on Monday, May 5.
In October last year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced the 2025 exhibition with the theme, 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," bringing features of garments, paintings, photographs, and more from artists and styles from the 18th century through to the present day.
While Anna Wintour is returning to co-chair the 2025 Met Gala, she will be joined by the likes of Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams. LeBron James will serve as an honorary chair.
