Troopers find 250lbs of Marijuana in traffic stop
SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested one person after locating over 250 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop in northern Nebraska. Journalism trip of a lifetime for Lincoln HS students On Friday, March 7, at approximately 7:20 p.m., a trooper performed a traffic stop on Highway 20 on a Chevrolet Silverado with a driver known to have a suspended license. The traffic stop occurred near the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 81. During the traffic stop, the trooper saw marijuana in plain view in the pickup. A search of the vehicle revealed several bags of marijuana in the cab and bed of the pickup. The total weight of the marijuana was 252 pounds. The driver, Coty Weber, 40, of Saint Peter, Minnesota, was arrested for driving under suspension, possession of marijuana – more than one pound, and possession with intent to deliver. NORFOLK, Neb. (KCAU) — Authorities reportedly found more than 250 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop in northeast Nebraska last week. The Nebraska State Patrol said that a trooper pulled a pickup truck over on Friday around 7:20 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 81, about five miles west of Randolph. 2 adults arrested in West Middle School fight facing new charge The vehicle was a Chevrolet Silverado traveling on Highway 20, and the trooper knew the driver had a suspended license, according to a release. During the stop, the trooper saw marijuana in plain view. A search was done on the pickup, and the NSP said that a total of 252 pounds of marijuana was found in the cab and bed. The driver, Coty Weber, 40, of Saint Peter, Minn., was arrested for driving under suspension, possession of marijuana – more than one pound, and possession with intent to deliver.
