Lidl shoppers share little-known trick to claim free items
From bakery items and pasta to fresh fruit and vegetables, Brits have been stocking up on freebies by using the Lidl Plus app. Shoppers have taken to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK recently to share their finds. One person posted: "Popped into Lidl today to get my free raspberries, free bakery item, free fruit item and £5 off a £30 spend. "After checking out I got a voucher for a free pasta, sauce or olives. This 3kg pack seemed the best freebie to pick saving £3.79." Free bakery item in store via Lidl Plus app - Selected Accounts Another shopper, posting a photo of strawberries, pasta, muffins and washing up liquid, added: "All free with my Lidl coupon plus rewards. NOT the free spin. Ideal big savings , well free." While a third person, on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, commented: "Beresa pasta & fruit.. at lidl via the app. "I had seen someone post about the 1kg strawberries, so went to go and get them and noticed the beresa one.. went to pick up a small bag of pasta, then seen they do a 3kg pack- it worked." In order to claim free items from Lidl, you will need to sign up for the Lidl Plus app. Once you have done that, simply head over to the Coupons Plus section. There you will find various coupons and rewards "tailor-made" for you based on your shopping habits, the Lidl website explains. To use the coupons, be sure to activate them on the app before getting to the till. Others said they received free items for being a new member.
