Man taken to hospital after shooting in Cowabunga Bay parking lot
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man was taken to a hospital after a shooting at the Cowabunga Bay Water Park parking lot Friday night.
Officers responded just after 11 p.m. on Friday to reports of a large fight near the 900 block of Galleria Drive on North Gibson Road and West Galleria Drive.
When police first arrived, several individuals involved in the fight were asked to leave. Shortly after they left the area, another fight broke out in the same area.
Officers said they found a man on the ground who had been shot. He was taken to an area hospital. Law enforcement officials did not provide his condition. One man was detained at the scene and investigators said they have identified a possible suspect, but that that person has not been found yet.
Investigators said the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
