First bite: Cowboy Mexican
Jason here: I was in my car around lunchtime yesterday when I spotted Cowboy Mexican Bar & Grill.
Catch up fast: Cowboy opened late last year in a spot that was previously an El Rodeo restaurant.
On the menu: More than a dozen lunch specials, including chimichangas, burritos, and taco plates.
You can order from the regular menu anytime, including salads, quesadillas, seafood and chef specials like "Steak Mexicano" — a 12-ounce T-bone topped with shrimp and veggies.
On my plate: Monday's steak fajita lunch special, which came with grilled onions and sides of rice and beans for $12.
My order arrived at the table within five minutes of placing it.
My thought bubble: Everything was tasty.
This spot is worth your time, especially if you're craving Mexican comfort food.
