Local vendors, live entertainment, kids activities, and more will be making their way to Ansted for this year's festival. The event is held to recognize the unique and storied history of the Town of Ansted, but also as a way of bringing together the community, according to on-site vendor, Craig Clemons.'People enjoy the atmosphere, getting about and having a good time, letting their hair down after a long workday or the end of the work week,' he said. 'They just like to come out and relax and listen to some music, visit friends and neighbors, make new friends, and see old friends.'Guests at this year's festival can expect everything live chainsaw carving, a bbq-eating competition, and a fireworks show to cap things off. The Ansted Heritage Festival will be held through the weekend in downtown Ansted, with the festivities set to conclude on Sunday.
