New community choir opens at the Holy Trinity Church
A new community choir is launching in Exmouth in March.
The Exmouth Good Afternoon Choir will launch on Tuesday (March 18) and meet on Tuesday's each week from 12.30pm-2.30pm at Holy Trinity Church.
Leading the Exmouth Good Afternoon Choir will be Craig Northway, and has 20 years in the theatre industry.
The choir is open for everyone to join. There are no auditions, the music is fun, varied and for anyone attending the first rehearsal is free of charge.
The idea is the brainchild of Grenville Jones who started his first Good Afternoon Choir back in 2009 in his home City of Bath.
Now there are over 30 Good Afternoon Choirs across England and Wales with over 1,500 singers.
Grenville Jones said: 'Our singers come from all walks of life and we differ from other community choirs as we sing in the afternoon.
'Previous singing experience is not necessary, just come and give us a try.
'Singing in the afternoon is brilliant, there is no hassle about driving in the dark and for further information on our choirs please see Come along and meet us.'
