Crime of Week: 2 steal $10k worth of items from Northeast El Paso storage unit
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Police Department and Crime Stoppers of El Paso are asking for your help in identifying two people who stole over $10,000 worth of items from a storage unit last month in Northeast El Paso. This is this week's 'Crime of the Week,' as publicized by Crime Stoppers of El Paso. At 2 p.m. on Monday, April 14, two suspects arrived at Highway 54 Self Storage, located at 11707 Dyer St, according to Crime Stoppers. The suspects parked and waited for the gate to open. As someone was leaving, they drove into the facility, according to Crime Stoppers. According to Crime Stoppers, the suspects broke the lock of a victim's unit and stole an estimated $10,000 in painting equipment. The vehicle the suspects used is described as a white, newer Kia Sport SUV, Crime Stoppers said. In addition, Crime Stoppers said the SUV is using a spare tire on the front right side. The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male who appears to have a mustache and possible beard or goatee, Crime Stoppers said. Crime Stoppers said the second suspect is a possible female with a heavy build. She wore a black hooded jacket, a blue blouse and shorts. Crime of Week: Help needed in vehicle burglary in West El Paso
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Police and Crime Stoppers of El Paso need your help in identifying vehicle burglars who broke into a truck and stole money back in April in West El Paso. This is this week's 'Crime of the Week' as publicized by Crime Stoppers. At roughly noon on April 24, a victim in their vehicle visited a Wells Fargo ATM located at 6960 N. Mesa St. The suspects were in a dark-colored SUV and followed the victim's vehicle to a Speedway Convenience store, located at 4990 Doniphan, according to Crime Stoppers. The suspects parked next to the victim's vehicle and the victim went inside the store, according to Crime Stoppers. According to Crime Stoppers, once the victim was inside the store, one suspect exited the SUV from the driver's side back door and broke a window in the victim's vehicle to get inside. The suspects managed to find and steal the money that was inside the victim's vehicle and fled, Crime Stoppers said. Crime Stoppers did not specify how much money was stolen. According to Crime Stoppers, the suspect vehicle is described as a black SUV, possibly a newer model of a Ford Explorer. Police looking for man who stole wallet at Central El Paso bar
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Police and Crime Stoppers of El Paso are asking for your help in finding a thief who took a wallet that was accidently left behind at a bar earlier this month in Central El Paso. At about 2 a.m. on April 8, a customer accidently left their wallet at the bar at Dewey's Bar at 812 Piedras near the Five Points area. A subject, wearing a Chihuahuas baseball cap, was caught on video taking the wallet. Later there were attempts to use the victim's credit cards, Crime Stoppers said. This is this week's Crime of the Week, as publicized by Crime Stoppers of El Paso. At 4 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, a man on a BMX-style bicycle entered Cielo Vista Mall, located at 8401 Gateway West, and went to a jewelry kiosk named Gold and Silver. The man then took various gold jewelry items, including gold earrings and a few watches, with a total estimated value of $6,400, according to Crime Stoppers. According to Crime Stoppers, the man is in his 20s, has a dark complexion, a mustache and possibly a goatee or beard. Crime of Week: Motorcyclist critically injured after hit-and-run crash in Central El Paso
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Police and Crime Stoppers of El Paso are asking for your help in identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash in Central El Paso last weekend that left one man critically injured. This is this week's 'Crime of the Week,' as publicized by Crime Stoppers. At about 2 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, near the Five Points area, a 32-year-old man was driving a 2017 red TaoTao scooter south on the 900 block of Peidras and was making a left turn onto Tularosa. El Paso Police seek help in hit-and-run crash that left 1 seriously hurt As the motorcyclist was making the left turn, a dark-colored Chevrolet was traveling north on Peidras in the left-turn-only lane without headlights, according to Crime Stoppers. The driver of the Chevrolet continued traveling north, struck the motorcyclist and fled the scene, according to Crime Stoppers. According to Crime Stoppers, the motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Crime Stoppers describes the vehicle that fled as a dark-colored, four-door Chevrolet, similar to a Malibu or Impala.
