Pair arrested after cocaine and heroin worth €5.4m seized in Meath

More info Two men have been arrested after 20 kgs of heroin and 37 kgs of cocaine with an estimated value of approximately €5,400,000 were seized in Meath on Tuesday. The intelligence-led operation was made as a result of a joint efforts from the Revenue's Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) with Eastern Region colleagues, the Meath /Westmeath Divisional Drugs and Crime Units. Two men, both in their 60s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are both currently detained at a Garda Station in Meath under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996. A Revenue spokesperson said: "Investigations are ongoing This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing joint investigations involving organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
