Grand Cristal Erbil Hotel set to open in Iraq by 2028
Erbil ( – Cristal Hospitality Group, a leading UAE-based hotel management firm, has partnered with Qalhat Al Batra to develop the Grand Cristal Erbil Hotel in northern Iraq.
The luxury property, designed by engineering and architectural firm Arif & Bintoak, is scheduled to open its doors in late 2028.
Located in a prime area of Erbil—near English and Italian villages, Royal City, and the expansive 200-hectare Sami Abdulrahman Park—the five-star hotel will offer 210 rooms and suites, including a Presidential Suite. The property will also feature one of Iraq's largest banqueting facilities, indoor and outdoor dining options across two levels, and premium leisure amenities including a spa, gym, and swimming pool.
Construction is expected to be completed within three years, with the Grand Cristal Erbil poised to become a new landmark for luxury hospitality in Iraq.
Since 2013, Cristal Group has been operating in Iraq, growing their portfolio in Erbil.
