Man, 26, fatally shot in neck during Bronx clash
A 26-year-old man was killed Saturday after he was fatally shot in the neck during a bloody Bronx clash, police said.
The victim was inside the lobby of an E. 174th St. apartment building near West Farms Road in Crotona Park East at about 9:40 a.m. when he ended up embroiled in a fight, police said.
During the scrap, his opponent pulled a gun and opened fire, striking him in the neck, cops said.
Police responding to a report of an assault in progress found the victim in the lobby, bleeding from the neck.
EMS rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he died. His name was not immediately disclosed.
The gunman, who was wearing all black, ran out of the building. No arrests have been made.
Cops were in the area Saturday looking for surveillance footage that can help them identify the shooter.
