The daughter of Holmes and Tom Cruise had an intense look on her face while walking through the streets of Manhattan early in the morning.
The rising sophomore at Carnegie Mellon University is home for the summer after completing her freshman year in college.
Suri, 19, dressed for the summer weather in a black tank top, grey sweatpants and black flip flops.
She kept her dark brown hair off her neck in a ponytail.
The star's sophomore year at Carnegie Mellon University will begin on August 26 so she has three months of down time with her movie star mother in the Big Apple.

The sighting comes after Cruise, 62, was asked about his plans on Father's Day during the premiere of Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning.
Cruise has three kids – Isabella and Connor, who he adopted with his second wife Nicole Kidman and Suri.
Suri is the Risky Business star's only biological daughter.
Cruise was asked what an ideal Father's Day would be for him by a reporter from E! News.
'You know… Just having fun, man,' he replied. As he walked away he was seen shaking his head.
Cruise hasn't been in contact with Suri since he and Holmes split in 2012.
Cruise and Suri don't speak due to his affiliation with the controversial Church of Scientology.
Members are encouraged to distance themselves from non-members – even when they are children.

Tom has not been present for any of Suri's life events or birthdays since he split from Holmes.
He also didn't go to her graduation from high school, where Suri received her diploma in the name of Suri Noelle.
She dropped her father's last name and took her mother's middle name as her last name.
It has been hinted by Katie that Suri may be studying acting and dance at Carnegie Mellon.
Holmes told Town & Country magazine that after college, her daughter wants to enter showbiz.
The magazine claimed that Suri 'is said to be interested in pursuing a career in fashion or acting.'
That does not sound off base; Suri starred in a high school production of The Addams Family.
And Katie has already put Suri to work on two of her films.
Suri contributed vocals to songs in two of Holmes' films - the 2023 drama Rare Objects and 2022 romantic drama Alone Together.
Holmes, speaking with Glamour i n April 2023, said that she has sought to encourage Suri's performing on her projects.
'I hope she always does something on my films,' Holmes said. 'I always ask her.'
Holmes said that 'both of those experiences came out of the same sense of what I love about our industry, which is, you have these projects and you become a family with people.'
