First Look at Patta X Nike Cryoshot Mercurial

Name:Patta X Nike Cryoshot MercurialColorway:Black/OrangeSKU:N/AMSRP:N/ARelease Date:2025Where to Buy:Nike Amsterdam's renowned streetwear imprintPattahas given the world its first look at its highly anticipated collaboration on the new Nike Cryoshot Mercurial, marking the initial collaborative push forNike's innovative Cryoshot series. Patta co-owner Guillaume Schmidt himself revealed the sneaker, which leverages the iconic Mercurial R9 silhouette for a lifestyle-focused adaptation. The Patta x Nike Cryoshot Mercurial R9 works off the familiar blue/yellow 'Brazil' originals, but transforms them with vivid red/orange and jet black accents, while retaining streaks of metallic silver leather. This distinctive colorway appears to be a nod to the Netherlands' 'Oranje' heritage. Patta's signature spell-out logo is prominently displayed on the extended lace shroud and the traditional tongue. The shoe features the innovative 'icy underfoot TPU cages' that define the Cryoshot series, making iconic football boots suitable for off-pitch wear. While a public release date remains unknown, this collaboration adds a serious football link-up to Patta's already packed 2025 slate, which includes pending Air Max 90 colorways. The Patta x Nike Cryoshot Mercurial is expected to be a major drop, blending football heritage with streetwear cool.

We're embracing the #BootsOnlySummer by swapping out our sneakers for a pair of football boots, and Nike has delivered in a big way with the release of their new Cryoshot cleat-sneaker hybrid that adds a translucent shell around the studs. Based on one of the most famous football boots of all time—Ronaldo's Nike Mercurial (1998) R9—the new Nike Cryoshot doesn't have an official release date yet, but has been teased here in two styles. The Nike Cryoshot in White is based on a version of the Nike Tiempo Legend VII R10 Elite FG, which was made popular by Cristiano Ronaldo. However, the one that has fans (and us) excited is the Cryoshot in Silver, Neon, and Blue, based on the football boot that changed the game forever, Ronaldo's Nike Mercurial R9 from 1998. More details about the cleat sneakers will be released shortly, so check back here to see when we have a release date and price. Now, let's take a closer look! Nike Cryoshot | Image: Supplied / Nike Nike hasn't shared a detailed press release for the new Cryoshot, but has stated that the shoe takes inspiration 'from the desire to honour and preserve Nike Football nostalgia and fast-forward it to the future.' What that seems to mean is a retro line of their greatest football cleats in sneaker form. While the #BootsOnlySummer trend sees fans swap out their sneakers for a pair of football cleats, the Nike Cryoshot goes one step further to address the issue of wearing studded boots off the grass. These Cryshot silhouettes have a translucent shell around the studs, which aids with wearability, grip, and comfort, but also gives the illusion that you're wearing boots off the pitch. We don't know when the Nike Cryoshot is releasing just yet, but expect a release date shortly. Nike will want to release the shoe before the sneaker-cleat hybrid trend ends!
