Area produces 3 runners-up at 98th Roddick High School Invitational
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The area produced three runners-up at the 98th Roddick High School Invitational Saturday at Seth Grove Stadium, site of the PIAA championships.
Somerset senior Kamryn Ross, a Slippery Rock recruit, was second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.33 seconds. She also was sixth in the 200 at 25.61 and eighth in the 400 with a program-record time of 59.49 seconds. Her mark broke Crystal Hemminger's mark of 1:00.4 from 1985.

Bedford sophomore Chloe May finished second in the 3200 at 10:53.15.
Portage senior Bode Layo was second in the high jump at 6 feet-6 inches to match his school record.
Somerset junior Maverick Swank finished fourth in triple jump with a 43-10.75 mark. Penn Cambria junior Blake Lilly was eighth in triple jump at 43-3.5.
