New Jersey among the Most Expensive Places to Get Married in the US, says the Knot.com
Finally said yes to a dress?
Well, now it's time to book the location.
According to the Knot, New Jersey is among the states with Most Expensive Places to Get Married in the US. The list includes two specific areas of the Garden State.
To find these locations, the wedding publication latest study captured responses from over 16,000 US couples married in 2024 on factors such as accessibility & prime location, labor costs, site fees, and cost of goods.
According to the report, the most expensive places to get married correlate to the cities with higher average costs of living across the most densely populated areas of the country. This year average wedding cost $33,000.
And for the top venues in New Jersey, costs range between $60,000 to $45,000.
Two areas from the Garden State on the list include North Jersey and the Jersey Shore. Here are the findings:
The average cost of a wedding in Newark was $59,160. One of two New Jersey cities on this list, the cost of a wedding in Northern Jersey is on the higher end — but still significantly less than it's neighbor New York City.
