President Trump Was Asked What His Biggest Mistake In His First 100 Days Has Been, And His Answer Should Surprise Literally No One At This Point
Well, everybody, it's been 100 days (and change) since the start of Donald Trump's second presidential term. The end of the first 100 days is traditionally a time for the media, the public, and even the president to reflect on how the first three months on the job have gone. No matter whether you support him or not, I think we can all agree that Trump's first 100 days have been a whirlwind. On Wednesday night, NewsNation held a " Cuomo Town Hall" on Trump's first 100 days. Chris Cuomo hosted, joined by commentators Bill O'Reilly, James Carville, and Stephen A. Smith (possibly Trump's pick for 2028, BTW). They spoke to President Trump via phone call. The town hall's live studio audience was made up of folks from across the political spectrum, according to NewsNation. It "was attended by Republican, Democrat, and Independent voters from across the country," they wrote on the recording posted to YouTube. One section of the program involved viewer-submitted questions for President Trump. In a clip posted to X by The Hill, Bill O'Reilly asks, "Lee says, 'What's the biggest mistake you think you've made in the first 100 days?'" O'Reilly jumps in, saying, "...you made any mistakes." He laughs. "I think Lee is reassured!" Trump continues, "We're in a transition period. We're in a transition period. I think you're going to see tremendous economic victories over the next period of a year. Like, far greater than ever imagined." Surprisingly, he gets realer than usual for a second. "Right now, as I said, we're losing billions and billions of dollars on trade." Then he says, "We're going to make billions and billions of dollars. But it takes a little while. That doesn't happen overnight. But it will happen much faster than people understand." Oh, and after the shocking reveal that Trump doesn't think he's made a single mistake so far, the audience... laughed. Giggled. Chuckled. Guffawed, some may even say. "The bipartisan Town Hall audience laughs at him. Watch," this person wrote. Whether they were laughing in the O'Reilly way (laughing with Trump at his confidence) or the other way (laughing at him), I can't say. A mix, probably. Other people chimed in about Trump's assertion that he's made no mistakes. "This proves he is completely delusional and will double down on his lies than admit he was and is wrong," this person wrote.

Trump Thinks Stephen A. Smith Has a Shot at the Presidency
Donald Trump has put his name down on the list of people who want Stephen A. Smith to run for president. Trump phoned in to a special edition of NewsNation's Cuomo Town Hall Wednesday night that featured a variety of broadcast personalities, including Smith, who earlier this year floated the idea of a presidential run. As the hosts asked Trump if he had any advice for the sports commentator, Smith shook his head and buried his face in his palm. 'I've been pretty good at picking people and picking candidates, and I will tell you I'd love to see him run,' Trump said of Smith, whom he described as a 'good' and 'smart' guy. 'He's got great entertainment skills, which is very important,' Trump said. 'People watch him. You know, a lot of these Democrats I watch [and] I say they have no chance.' In March, Smith expressed confidence that he could beat out other big names being floated as possible Democratic presidential candidates, including former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. 'I make of it that citizens, particularly on the left, are desperate,' he said at the time after polling showed that voters were interested in him running. 'And I mean it when I say it: I think I can beat them all.' A month later, the ESPN First Take host said it was time to 'stop messing around' as he announced that he was no longer ruling out the idea of running for president. 'Hate the thought of being a politician. But sick of this mess,' he said on X. 'So I'm officially leaving all doors open.' In an interview earlier this month with ABC News' This Week, Smith said he changed his mind after elected officials, pundits, billionaires, and even his own pastor all encouraged him to explore a presidential campaign. Smith also told ABC that he was so far unsatisfied with what he had been seeing from Trump. 'This whole tariff war situation is utterly ridiculous,' he said. 'There doesn't appear to be a plan. Let's be very clear about that. It seems to be a bit very haphazard, and you know it's just thrown against the wall to see what will stick. But in the end, you know, what you have to applaud them for is for trying something.'
