Saudi Arabia Supports Palestinian Pilgrims
Israa Farhan
Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has issued a directive to host 1,000 Palestinian pilgrims at his own expense to perform Hajj for the Islamic year 1446 AH.
The announcement was made on Monday by Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, and the General Supervisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit.
He
emphasized
that this generous gesture reflects the Kingdom's steadfast support for the Palestinian people and its commitment to strengthening Islamic unity and solidarity.
'This royal directive is part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to ease the Hajj pilgrimage for Palestinians and provide comprehensive support throughout their spiritual journey,' said Al Al-Sheikh.
He added that the Ministry immediately began preparing an integrated plan to ensure a smooth and dignified pilgrimage experience. The support will begin from the moment pilgrims depart Palestine until they return, covering all aspects of travel, accommodation, and logistics during their stay in Makkah and Madinah.
Since the launch of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program in 1417 AH, the initiative has hosted over 64,000 pilgrims from around the world.
This continued generosity highlights Saudi Arabia's leading role in serving Islam and Muslims and its central position as the spiritual heart of the Islamic world.
