2 pedestrians injured after Prescott, Ont. collision with pickup truck

Two pedestrians were taken to hospital after they were struck by a pickup truck in downtown Prescott, Ont. Saturday morning, according to police.
Ontario Provincial Police staff Sgt. Cynthia Savard told CTV News that officers responded to the collision at the intersection of King E. Street and Edward Street at approximately 11:50 a.m.
A utility trailer was attached to the pickup at the time of the crash, Savard said.
The victims, a man and a woman in their early 20s, were taken to hospital by paramedics.
The woman suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Savard said. The man had minor injuries.
The male driver has been charged with dangerous operation, police say.
The roads in the area reopened at approximately 2:50 p.m.
An investigation continues.
Prescott is located approximately 95 kilometres southwest of downtown Ottawa.
