And Hibs fans will be wondering 'what if?' with regards to the start of their season and how they've ended it? The turnaround has been well-documented and it meant Hibs wrapped up third place with a game to spare in midweek which is remarkable given where they were after the first couple of months. And that form has fallen off a little since the split, with a win, a draw and two defeats to show from the last four games. That's allowed Gers to move 17 points clear in second place, otherwise that might have looked closer than it's ended up. Hibs are unbeaten in the last two outings against Gers, including winning 2-0 at Ibrox last time out. Rangers will just be glad to see the back of this season and can regroup and clear out in the summer with the backing of these new owners. Barry Ferguson will also be keen to leave his interim spell on a high, with Rangers almost certain to go a different route with their manager. Despite the flak, Cyriel Dessers' double in midweek means he's now the leading goalscorer in the Premiership too - though even he would admit he could quite easily be on double that tally. Four of Hibs' last five games have seen four goals scored, while three of Rangers' last four games have seen likewise. Almost a shame that they don't go higher than over 5.5 goals in the betting market given it could be a final day free-for-all but the insurance of over 4.5 goals is a decent enough price anyway. Rangers 3-1 Dundee United: Have your say
Cyriel Dessers' double and a fine Nicolas Raskin strike ensured Rangers secured back-to-back home Scottish Premiership wins in their final appearance at Ibrox this season. Dundee United looked to have taken a step closer to sealing a place in Europe when Sam Cleall-Harding headed the opener after slack defending at a corner. But Dessers struck either side of the break, the first a thumping header followed by a penalty, as captain James Tavernier handed the striker the chance to net his 28th goal of the season. Victory for Jim Goodwin's side at home to Aberdeen on Saturday would still clinch fourth place in the Premiership, but St Mirren can still overhaul them on the final day and deny them continental combat. Whether you were at Ibrox or watching the game elsewhere, we want to hear from you. Give us your take on the night here.

I scored for Celtic vs Rangers - what I think of Maeda's late chance
The game was poised at 1-1 after Idah levelled things up for Celtic on 57 minutes following Cyriel Dessers' first-half opener. Read more: The best opportunity for either side to win the game fell the way of Maeda. Idah was asked about the chance post-match: "It's a tough one," he said [Sky Sports]. "He was probably knackered at the end of the day. "It's one of them ones. It can go in, or it doesn't. It's a tough one to say if he's going to score." Idah's goal tally for the season is now up to 18 after he found the back of the net this afternoon: "I was delighted," he said after the game. "I could have had a couple today. I had one at the end of the first half, which I was a bit disappointed with. To get the goal in the second half was excellent. It got us into the game. Like Cal [McGregor] said, we played well, we just couldn't finish enough of our chances." The Irish striker has netted four goals in his previous three outings. "I am really pleased for Adam [Idah]," said Brendan Rodgers of the striker post-match. "He was a good reference for the team today. I felt that we were the team with control, and with our playing through that, we felt we could maybe get something late on. "Because normally you come here, you normally have 10-15 minutes where you're really hanging on, but I never felt we had that today."

Celtic fans troll Rangers ultras by unfurling stolen flags and banners on their return to Ibrox
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) CELTIC fans were back at a league match at Ibrox for the first time since early 2023. And a section of Hoops fans arrived armed with flags and banners belonging to the RANGERS ultras. Cyriel Dessers' opening goal was cancelled-out by an Adam Idah equaliser and there wasn't to be a winner. The game saw Celtic fans return to Ibrox for the first time in more than two years. A 2-2 draw in January 2023 was the last time Hoops supporters were at the Gers' home stadium. It was also the last game before the away fans' lockout began, a lockout that only ended at the last derby at Parkhead back in March. Late last year, a section of the Celtic ultras group the Green Brigade posed with an array of flags and banners they'd seemingly stolen from the Union Bears, the leading Rangers ultras group. Several months on, many of those same items appeared to have been brought into Ibrox this afternoon. The Green Brigade banner, seen at every Celtic game, was hung over the advertising hoardings in front of the away section. At one point, several stolen flags were held aloft behind it. One of the flags, a yellow and black display reading 'warning pyrotechnics incoming' was visible when the Green Brigade posted a previous image back in September. Celebrity Wrexham owner spotted in retro Celtic strip as he asks 'are they Catholics or Protestants' Several other flags also appearing to have belonged to the Gers ultras group the Union Bears were also waved. At the start of the match, a giant display was unfurled at the other end of the stadium. It contained an image of Rangers legend Graeme Souness holding a shotgun, which is a real picture from the early 1980s. The gun on the display appeared to be aimed towards the corner housing the Celtic fans. Along the bottom of the banner, the words "take aim against the rebel scum" could be seen. Athletic 2-0 Rangers: Analysis
There was always a sense this tie would be a bridge too far for Rangers. Athletic are flying high in La Liga and on a mission to win this the Ibrox side have had a habit of performing near miracles on the Europa League stage, consistently defying the when Cyriel Dessers' ripped shirt only lead to a yellow card for the Nigerian for dissent rather than a penalty, you got the sense there would be no luck on their to Ridvan Yilmaz, Ianis Hagi, and Leon Balogun forced Ferguson and his staff into multiple changes of shape as they tried to luck and injuries aside, Rangers were also outclassed over the channelling the energy of a fervent crowd, hounded them out of possession and piled the pressure on in the first went close to holding out until half-time, but John Souttar's foul robbed them of the chance to regroup with the game goalless.A brief flurry after the break and the fact their hosts had only found one goal kept hope flickering, but Athletic have the best defensive record in La Liga and largely held them at arms' length until Williams pounced to extinguish can be proud of another good run at this level, but their season is now over and the questions will start about an uncertain will the takeover by the San Francisco 49ers group be completed? Who will the manager be? How many players will leave? These are the only questions left for the club to focus on after a trophy-less season.
