A man was flown to Winnipeg for treatment after he was attacked with a machete at a party in Thompson.
RCMP were sent to a home on Centennial Drive at about 11:30 p.m. Friday.
A 23-year-old man was treated for severe but non-life-threatening injuries. He was in stable condition at a Winnipeg hospital on Monday, RCMP said.
Two people, who know the victim, were arrested at the scene.
A 23-year-old Thompson man and a 17-year-old male from Split Lake both face charges of aggravated assault. The youth also faces two counts of failing to comply with probation.

A Winnipeg man was killed when his motorcycle and a truck collided on Highway 9 on Saturday.
Selkirk RCMP were sent to the crash site near Mitchell Bay in the Rural Municipality of St. Andrews at about 4 p.m.
Police said Monday the motorcycle was headed south on the highway when it collided with a three-ton truck that was turning westbound onto Mitchell.
The 30-year-old driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision, police said, and the licence of the 67-year-old driver of the truck was suspended under the Highway Traffic Act.
RCMP are investigating.

A manslaughter charge against a man for a fatal shooting near Ebb and Flow First Nation has been upgraded to second-degree murder.
RCMP said in December that the homicide was 'a targeted incident.'
Cyril St. Paul was arrested at a home in the community after an injured 34-year-old man was found lying beside a truck on Highway 278 on Dec. 15. St. Paul was 53 at the time of his arrest.
RCMP asked anyone with information that might help the investigation to call the Ste. Rose du Lac detachment at 204-447-3082.

Kyler Filewich is coming home.
After a five-year collegiate career that included stops at the University of Southern Illinois and Wofford College (South Carolina), where he led the Terriers to a Southern Conference (SoCon) championship and appearance in the March Madness tournament this spring, the 6-9, 250-pound centre will begin his pro career with his hometown Winnipeg Sea Bears this season.
Filewich, a graduate of Vincent Massey Collegiate, was the top-ranked high school player in the province in 2018 and 2019 before being recruited to play NCAA Division 1 hoops.
He earned Missouri Valley Conference (MVA) all-freshman team honours in his debut season at Southern Illinois. In his final season at Wofford, Filewich averaged 11.7 points and 9.2 rebounds while starting all 35 contests. His collegiate career ended with a bang after being named the SoCon championship MVP and leading the Terriers to the program's first NCAA tournament appearance since 2019.
Filewich will speak with media this morning.

Firefighters rushed to two fires that were called in nearly simultaneously early Monday.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews first went to a two-storey multi-family home on the 300 block of Boyd Avenue at about 3:05 a.m., where they found smoke and flames coming from the building. Firefighters had doused the blaze by 3:37 a.m.
The building's residents fled before crews arrived. None were hurt, and city social workers went to the scene to assist them.
At about 3:06 a.m., other crews were called to a two-storey commercial building on the 600 block of Broadway, where they attacked flames and smoke, getting the blaze under control by shortly before 4 a.m. No one was inside at the time.
