Where Clemson ranks in the latest Top 25 polls after opening weekend
Clemson's season-opening weekend in Arlington, Texas, resulted in a slight climb in the rankings, but the Tigers left with mixed emotions after a tough loss to Ole Miss.
Without head coach Erik Bakich, who was serving a suspension, Clemson picked up wins over No. 13 Oklahoma State (6-5) and No. 22 Arizona (16-5) before suffering a 15-5 run-rule defeat to the Rebels. The Tigers moved up to No. 14 in the poll while staying at No. 8 in Baseball America's rankings.
Baseball America noted Clemson's offensive firepower in its two wins but also pointed out the disappointing finish against Ole Miss. The Tigers now turn their attention to a five-game homestand, starting with Presbyterian on Wednesday before hosting VCU and North Carolina A&T in the Clemson Invitational.
Arizona tumbled out of the rankings after an 0-3 weekend, while Oklahoma State slipped to No. 17 in the Baseball America poll and No. 19 in rankings.

Dominic Listi stood out at the plate for Clemson, hitting .556 with seven RBIs and four runs scored. The Tigers didn't hit a home run over the weekend, with Cam Cannarella (three doubles) and Jarren Purify (two doubles) leading the way in extra-base hits.
On the mound, Ethan Darden had the strongest start, throwing four scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Relievers Reed Garris, Nathan Dvorsky, and Lucas Mahlstedt also kept runs off the board, combining for six scoreless home opener against Presbyterian is set for Wednesday at 4 p.m. (ACCNX).
