Two arrested after man dies in garden
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died in a garden in Devon. Officers were called at about 00:45 BST on Saturday after they received reports a man in his 20s had been assaulted and found in a garden of a property at Ashfield Close, Exmouth. Emergency services attended but the man died at the scene. Two men in their 20s were found at an address at Hawthorn Grove, Exmouth, and were arrested on suspicion of murder, police said. They remain in police custody. Murder investigation in Exmouth following assault
A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Exmouth. Police were called shortly after midnight on Saturday (May 31) morning following a report a man in his 20s had been assaulted and located in the garden of a property in Ashfield Close. Emergency services attended the location but, despite the best efforts of paramedics, the man was pronounced dead. His next of kin have been informed. Following the incident, two men in their 20s were located at an address in Hawthorn Grove, Exmouth, and arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in police custody at this time. 'Scene guards have been put in place at the crime scene and at a second address in Exmouth," said DCI Ian Jolliff. 'Residents will see a heightened police presence and visibility over the coming days as we gather evidence to deliver justice for the victim's family.
