Storylines to follow during June's second huge visit weekend

It's the second massive weekend of official visits and camps across the country. Rivals national recruiting director Adam Gorney looks at 12 major storylines to watch. MORE: Several elite quarterbacks hitting the road for pivotal official visits RECRUITING RUMOR MILL: Latest buzz on nearly three dozen prospects | June kicks off with a bang | Baltimore | Detroit NEW RIVALS250 RELEASED: Ranking | Top storylines | Ten prospects who could rise with a big June CLASS OF 2026 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State CLASS OF 2027 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State TRANSFER PORTAL: Full coverage | Player ranking | Team ranking | Transfer search | Transfer Tracker RIVALS CAMP SERIES: Rivals Five-Star heading back to Indy | Rivals Five-Star roster | Schedule/info It's a big weekend at Alabama with a handful of top targets that the Crimson Tide should close on in town as well. Five-star safety Jireh Edwards was at Auburn last weekend but the chatter is that Alabama is out front in his recruitment. Former USC four-star linebacker commit Xavier Griffin, an Alabama legacy, will also be there. He's coming off a phenomenal Ohio State trip but the Crimson Tide have the edge there, too. Four-star QB Matt Ponatoski, who wants to play baseball and football in college, is visiting as Alabama, Oregon and others are involved. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH ALABAMA FANS AT Auburn has another big weekend as coach Hugh Freeze has the recruiting train rolling strong on The Plains but the biggest outcome of this entire week could be the Tigers making a serious move with 2027 five-star quarterback Elijah Haven. The Baton Rouge (La.) Dunham standout made his first visit to Auburn this week and already said he plans to be back because he loves Freeze and position coach Kent Austin. LSU is considered the front-runner and could be tough to beat but Haven has some thinking to do now. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH LSU FANS AT Auburn defensive end commit Hezekiah Harris is coming to Gainesville as he's more seriously looking at some others. Michigan defensive back pledge Brody Jennings and Florida State receiver commit Darryon Williams will be there, too. On top of some major flip candidates, Florida will also have four-star edge rusher Jake Kreul there and while Oklahoma might have the edge and Ohio State blew him away last weekend, the Gators are making a serious move for him. High three-star offensive lineman Chancellor Campbell is coming, too, as Florida and Georgia are engaged in a major battle. Five-star receiver Cederian Morgan is expected and while Florida is a long shot, it gets its chance this weekend. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH FLORIDA FANS AT 1ST AND TEN FLORIDA Vodney Cleveland. Dre Quinn. Kendall Guervil. PJ Dean. Ebenezer Ewetade. It's a loaded defensive line list coming to Athens this weekend and it wouldn't be a shock at all to see coach Kirby Smart and his staff close on some of those big names down the stretch. There are some others that Georgia has some work on. Four-star running back Savion Hiter is expected as Ohio State, Tennessee and others are involved there. Four-star, long, athletic defensive back Tamarion Watkins is also expected in Athens as South Carolina could have the edge there. Smart is the best recruiter in college football, though, so another big weekend awaits in Athens. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH GEORGIA FANS AT One of the last uncommitted quarterbacks in the class is Luke Fahey as Stanford and Indiana are the two front-runners pending a visit to Ohio State later this month. The Mission Viejo, Calif., standout had an excellent visit to Stanford last weekend and it's tough to beat sitting down with general manager Andrew Luck. But there is serious intrigue in the Hoosiers and the opportunity there. Of course, this could all collapse later this month if Ohio State offers but until then it's really a two-team race. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH INDIANA FANS AT Landing a commitment from four-star quarterback Jett Thomalla was a massive recruiting win for Iowa State in April. Keeping him will now be the challenge. The Omaha (Neb.) Millard South standout visited Alabama this weekend and the Crimson Tide want him to return for another trip soon. In between all this, Thomalla will be back in Ames this weekend. Alabama is Alabama and the Crimson Tide need a quarterback so that's tempting. But Iowa State recruited Thomalla so well. How this plays out down the stretch will be interesting. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH IOWA STATE FANS AT There has been a serious influx of tight end talent from small-town Kansas the last two recruiting cycles. Last time, four-star Linkon Cure from Goodland chose Kansas State over Oregon and others. This recruiting class, Ian Premer from Great Bend (population 14,000) has Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Michigan and Notre Dame as his favorites. The talk, though, is that Iowa State has a slight edge over Kansas right now. This will be a crucial weekend for the Jayhawks to turn that tide ever-so-slightly in their favor to keep the talented 6-foot-5, 225-pound tight end home. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH KANSAS FANS AT A better understanding of where everything stands with four-star quarterback Bowe Bentley should occur after this weekend. The Celina, Texas, standout was at LSU last weekend and had a fantastic visit with offensive coordinator Joe Sloan and many others. But the word has been that the Sooners hold the edge in his recruitment so it's a big weekend for new offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle and others. The feeling is that Arbuckle wants Bentley in this class so it's a big early test for him in Norman this weekend. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH OKLAHOMA FANS AT It's been written enough that Oregon has had a tough couple weeks losing quarterback Jonas Williams to USC, five-star quarterback Jared Curtis to Georgia and five-star offensive lineman Jackson Cantwell to Miami. Now is the time for another major recruiting weekend in Eugene where the Ducks could load up. It's a huge list. Five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson is coming back. Five-star defensive end Richard Wesley, who was committed to the Ducks but backed off since those close to him didn't sign off, will be back and that could be huge. Five-star athlete Brandon Arrington will be there as Texas A&M and others battle for him. Coach Dan Lanning is one of the best and weekends like this are becoming the norm. Last weekend, four-star quarterback Landon Duckworth went to Auburn and got a massive recruiting pitch from coach Hugh Freeze. That could be compelling and the Jackson, Ala., standout didn't seem fazed by having Jackson Arnold and Deuce Knight in the QB room. There appears to be enough NIL money to go around. There has been some chatter that South Carolina is once again very much in this recruitment (he was committed to the Gamecocks earlier) but Ole Miss is not going away easily. This is a crucial weekend for coach Shane Beamer and his staff. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH SOUTH CAROLINA FANS AT It's not a massive list but an important group is heading to Texas this weekend and even though there are some long shots, coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff know how to take a big swing. No. 1 running back Ezavier Crowell is coming and even though Alabama will be tough to beat and Georgia is pushing, Texas has always been held high by him. Texas A&M and LSU lead for five-star OL/DL Lamar Brown so it's crucial to get him in Austin and see what they can do. Four-star edge rusher Jamarion Carlton is a big visitor along with four-star cornerback Davon Benjamin among others. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH TEXAS FANS AT It's a huge weekend at Texas A&M with a ton of opportunities to woo recruits. Fresh off working out at Ole Miss, five-star LSU receiver commit Tristen Keys will be in College Station. So will four-star nickel Bralan Womack, four-star offensive lineman John Turntine, Tank Jones, Tank King and many others. Some big targets such as five-star Lamar Brown are visiting elsewhere but the Aggies have a huge opportunity this weekend with so many big names. Coach Mike Elko and his staff appear to be on the verge of really turning this thing around. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH TEXAS A&M FANS AT

Southeast Spotlight: Five biggest June visits

June has become arguably the most important month in the recruiting calendar, with prospects crisscrossing the country on official visits and lining up announcement dates. Rivals national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman looks at five Southeast prospects who are taking key visits this month. Advertisement MORE: Clemson climbing with top targets after star-studded official visit weekend CLASS OF 2026 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State CLASS OF 2027 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State TRANSFER PORTAL: Full coverage | Player ranking | Team ranking | Transfer search | Transfer Tracker RIVALS CAMP SERIES: Rivals Five-Star heading back to Indy | Rivals Five-Star roster | Schedule/info LAMAR BROWN - Texas A&M, June 13 Brown is coming off his first official visit to Miami, which made a huge splash in his recruitment as a July 10 commitment approaches. Brown will hit Texas, Texas A&M and LSU next – the final visits before locking in his college commitment. Advertisement No program has been pushing the in-state Tigers harder than the Aggies, which get Brown back for a fourth visit this off-season on June 13. Texas A&M has legitimate traction with the five-star defensive lineman. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH TEXAS A&M FANS AT TANK JONES - Alabama, June 20 Jones logged official visits to both Auburn and Miami so far with the latter making a strong push for the blue-chip defender. Jones has upcoming official visits planned to Texas A&M and Oregon, but the biggest stop on deck is a return to Tuscaloosa scheduled for June 20. Alabama has made Jones its top priority since Kalen DeBoer and Kane Womack landed in T-Town. As a summertime decision looms, the Crimson Tide get the final crack at Jones. We view Alabama as the team currently leading for the five-star edge defender. Advertisement SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH ALABAMA FANS AT TRISTEN KEYS - LSU, June 20 The nation's top receiver logged an official visit to Miami this weekend and will hit Auburn, Alabama and back to LSU before finalizing his college plans before his senior season. The five-star from Mississippi made an early call in favor of the Tigers, who are working feverishly to hang onto the elite pass-catcher's commitment. LSU is playing with a lead and getting Keys for his final visit looms large toward its chances of inking this year's No. 1 pass catcher. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH LSU FANS AT CEDERIAN MORGAN - Alabama, June 20 Morgan has logged official visits to Colorado and Georgia with some pivotal stops on the horizon. The second-ranked receiver in the Rivals250 will hit Florida, Auburn and Alabama before a July 2 commitment. Advertisement Since the beginning of this recruitment, the Iron Bowl programs have been pegged as the teams to beat. His last stop will be back in Tuscaloosa, as the Crimson Tide aim to separate even more with the in-state blue-chipper. BRALAN WOMACK - Ohio State, June 20 Womack wrapped up his first official visit to Florida, which made a massive impression on the top-ranked nickel defender in the Rivals250. The Gators, along with Auburn and Texas A&M, are working to play catch-up with the Buckeyes, who have been standing on a sizable lead for the past few months. Womack returns to the Shoe again on June 20 and since last summer, Ohio State has been the team to beat. Ryan Day and Tim Walton aim to seal the deal during Womack's final official before an August commitment. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH OHIO STATE FANS AT

How did we rank CFB's top QBs as high school prospects?

Take a look at where we ranked the expected top college football quarterbacks of 2025 as high school prospects. 1. CADE KLUBNIK, Clemson Klubnik was the top quarterback and No. 3 overall prospect in the 2022 Rivals250 but it's taken him a little while to find his groove. Behind only Travis Hunter and Walter Nolen in his class, Klubnik showed off an elite skill set as a high school prospect. He could throw with accuracy, power, and touch from inside the pocket while working through his progression. Klubnik was always a threat to make plays with his legs but he was always looking to throw instead of taking off down the field. At Clemson, Klubnik only threw 100 passes during his freshman season in spot duty before starting the next two seasons, with the 2024 campaign being his best one yet. Now Klubnik enters the 2025 season as one of the Heisman favorites and has Clemson positioned to make a national title run. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH CLEMSON FANS AT Garrett Nussmeier © Maria Lysaker-Imagn Images After waiting his turn behind Jayden Daniels , Nussmeier enters the 2025 season as a Heisman hopeful. A top 100 prospect in the 2021 class and a top 10 quarterback, Nussmeier showed flashes of brilliance during his first season as a starter last year. The Louisiana native, who played his high school career in Texas, had the arm talent to make difficult throws on a consistent basis. Nussmeier should have plenty of weapons at his disposal this year. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH LSU FANS AT 3. DREW ALLAR, Penn State Drew Allar © Nathan Ray Seebeck-Imagn Images A close loss to Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff semifinals left a bad taste in Allar's mouth. The No. 6 quarterback in the 2022 recruiting cycle could have left for the NFL but is returning to Penn State to make another push for a national title. A top-100 prospect in the 2022 Rivals250, Allar dominated the competition in Medina, Ohio. He could have easily just relied on his arm strength and physical tools to overpower his opponents but he showed off a wide range of tools on the field in the fall and at the All-American Bowl. Adjusting to the level of competition has proved to be somewhat of a challenge for Allar but he has a chance to be a first-round draft pick if he continues to make strides this fall. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH PENN STATE FANS AT 4. ARCH MANNING, Texas Arch Manning © Brett Davis-Imagn Images Manning is the most well-known college football player in the country but he's just about to begin his first season as the starter for the Longhorns. The top overall prospect in the 2023 Rivals250, Manning may very well be the most mentally prepared high school quarterback we've seen. Despite not participating in the offseason camp or 7-on-7 circuit, Manning's talent at the high school level was undeniable. In his limited playing time at Texas , he's already shown off the strong arm, athleticism, and poise we anticipated. Texas lost a lot off of last year's team, but expectations remain high for the Longhorns with Manning now leading the way. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH TEXAS FANS AT 5. CARSON BECK, Miami Carson Beck © Joshua L. Jones / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images After a strong two-year run as the starting quarterback for Georgia , Beck transferred to Miami this offseason to lead the Hurricanes for his final year of eligibility. Coming off of an elbow injury, Beck weighed his options in the NFL but aims to improve his draft stock before moving onto the next level. The former four-star high school prospect has big shoes to fill in Coral Gables after Cam Ward went on to be the No. 1 pick in the most recent NFL Draft. As a high school prospect, Beck was originally committed to Alabama and nearly picked Florida before committing to Georgia. A standout baseball player as well, Beck has always demonstrated impressive arm talent. He was able to deliver passes to his receivers in tight windows from multiple arm angles inside the pocket or on the move. Moving through his progression and quickly reading defenses were where he needed the most development. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH MIAMI FANS AT 6. LUKE ALTMYER, Illinois Luke Altmyer © Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images Illinois has dreams of replicating Indiana 's magical College Football Playoff run from last season and the Illini are counting on Altmyer to lead the charge. The former Rivals250 prospect from the 2021 recruiting class began his career at Ole Miss but transferred to Illinois after the 2022 season. Altmyer was initially pledged to Florida State but the Starkville native committed to Ole Miss a couple weeks before the Early Signing Period. His steady performances as a high school prospect was a strong indicator of how high his floor was. Altmyer's quick delivery coupled with his consistent accuracy were just some of his standout traits. His first year with the Illini was up and down but he showed major improvement last season. Altmyer nearly entered the transfer portal this spring but reaffirmed his commitment to Illinois and will finish out his collegiate career this season in Champaign. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH ILLINOIS FANS AT 7. LANORRIS SELLERS, South Carolina LaNorris Sellers © Jeremy Reper-Imagn Images Sellers collected plenty of accolades after his first year as a starter for South Carolina , including National Freshman Offensive Player of the Year and SEC Freshman of the Year. The Gamecocks seem to be in a window where an SEC championship and College Football Playoff run are within reach but they are going to go as far as Sellers will take them. The former four-star recruit from the 2023 Rivals250 has helped the Gamecocks surge on the recruiting trail as well, making Columbia a destination for some playmakers who should make a big impact this season. Sellers, who was originally committed to Syracuse , had a prolific high school career, including a senior season in which he threw for nearly 3,000 yards and 45 touchdowns while also running for 1,300 yards and an additional 17 touchdowns. He once scored nine touchdowns in one half during his senior season. Sellers didn't face a high level of competition but the playmaking ability was obvious and led to his four-star rating. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH SOUTH CAROLINA FANS AT 8. DJ LAGWAY, Florida DJ Lagway © Matt Pendleton-Imagn Images Lagway is one of the bright young stars and Florida is relying on him to lead the Gators back to prominence. As the No. 28 prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, Lagway displayed an incredible skill set as a high school prospect. A big, strong player with plenty of athleticism and arm talent, Lagway threw for 4,604 yards and 58 touchdowns in addition to running for 957 yards and 16 more touchdowns. What was even more impressive is he did all of that while completing 72-percent of his passes. Lagway didn't blow away the competition during the Under Armour All-America Game but his potential at the college level was clear. Lagway saw consistent playing time as a freshman but really turned it on in the latter half of this past season. After recording a 6-1 record as a starter, Lagway was named a Freshman All-American after the 2024 season. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH FLORIDA FANS AT 1ST AND TEN FLORIDA 9. JOHN MATEER, Oklahoma John Mateer © SARAH PHIPPS/THE OKLAHOMAN / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images A former two-star prospect, Mateer signed with Washington State (his only power conference offer) as part of its 2022 recruiting class and remained with the Cougars as the Pac-12 fell apart around them. Despite a productive high school career, Mateer originally committed to Central Arkansas. Former Incarnate Word head coach Eric Morris, who took the offensive coordinator job at Washington State after the 2021 season, was a big part of why Mateer ended up signing with the Cougars. Mateer was one of the most productive quarterbacks in the nation last year, throwing for 3,139 yards with 29 touchdowns and seven interceptions in addition to rushing for 826 yards and 15 more touchdowns. In December he transferred to Oklahoma , following his offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle. The Sooners are counting on Mateer, who is a five-star and No. 3 in the transfer portal rankings, to help turn this team around in a hurry. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH OKLAHOMA FANS AT 10. SAM LEAVITT, Arizona State Sam Leavitt © Brett Davis-Imagn Images Leavitt is coming off a season in which he won Big 12 Freshman/Newcomer of the Year after leading the Sun Devils to a berth in the College Football Playoff. A former three-star prospect who was originally committed to Washington State but flipped to sign with Michigan State in the 2023 recruiting class, Leavitt's ability to distribute the ball to his playmakers with accuracy helped raise his profile as a recruit. During his senior season he completed 70-percent of his passes while throwing for more than 3,000 yards and 36 touchdowns. Leavitt transferred to Arizona State in December 2023 as a top 100 prospect in the transfer portal rankings and it wasn't clear at that time whether or not he would start right away for head coach Kenny Dillingham. Leavitt obviously won the starting job and has positioned himself as one of the most promising quarterback prospects in college football. Rivals Camp Series: Position MVPs from Dallas

COPPELL, Texas -- The Rivals Camp Series made its annual stop in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex on Sunday and many top prospects put together impressive performances. Here is a breakdown of the MVPs from the event: RIVALS COMBINE SERIES: Top performers from the event in Dallas CLASS OF 2025 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State CLASS OF 2026 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State CLASS OF 2027 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Team | Position | State TRANSFER PORTAL: Full coverage | Player ranking | Team ranking | Transfer search | Transfer Tracker QUARTERBACK MVP: Peyton Houston Houston was on-point through the entirety of the camp on Sunday. We loved the touch on short and intermediate throws and the velocity on throws downfield. Houston's timing and anticipation continue to sharpen, and his consistency at the position is certainly worth noting. RUNNING BACK MVP: Lathan Whisenton Whisenton was a force at the running back position -- blocking and also catching passes out of the backfield. Whisenton is built to run between the tackles and boasts speed to separate from defenders in coverage and soft hands on the receiving end. He's a 2027 back with the arrow pointing up early on. WIDE RECEIVER MVP: Jabari Mack Mack is committed to LSU and is trending to be one of the next great pass-catchers to come through Baton Rouge. Playing at 200 pounds this spring, Mack maintains his speed to burn downfield and is a precise route-runner with plus hands and range on the receiving end. The four-star prospects brings explosiveness and physicality to the WR position and hasn't missed a beat since the end of his junior year. Advertisement SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH LSU FANS AT OFFENSIVE LINE MVP: Ismael Camara The French transplant was absolutely dominant playing left tackle on Sunday. Cara has excellent feet, plays with leverage effectively and is a finisher — which is why we love his upside as an interior offensive lineman. Camara boasts functional strength plus athleticism in an excellent frame. DEFENSIVE LINE MVP: Jalen Brewster Brewster was explosive playing multiple positions on the interior defensive line during camp on Sunday. The four-star prospect plays downhill with strong hands and a high motor. Brewster is bendy and versatile and provides major past rush juice from the interior defensive line. LINEBACKER MVP: Kailer Pettijohn Pettijohn, the cousin of former five-star Riley Pettijohn, earned MVP honors after a compelling performance in coverage on Sunday. The three-star prospect has great hips and moves well laterally in addition to keeping pace with speedy backs running routes to the sideline and upfield. Pettijohn was sticky in coverage and built to stop the run -- a true three-down defender in the middle. DEFENSIVE BACK MVP: Jerry Outhouse, Jr. Outhouse Jr. took home MVP honors despite a loaded field of blue-chip defensive backs competing Sunday. Outhouse was sticky in coverage, able to flip his hips and turn and run with an array of different pass-catchers and close on passes with intensity. We loved Outhouse's physicality on the back end -- able to play off and cover inside and out at a consistent clip -- in addition to getting his hands on several balls along the way.

The biggest winners from the spring portal window

The spring transfer portal window closed on Friday and nearly all of the major transfer news has been announced. Which programs have helped themselves the most this spring? Take a look at which teams were winners this spring in the transfer portal. MORE: Former Nebraska TE Arik Gilbert lands at Savannah State MORE TRANSFER PORTAL: Latest news | Transfer search | Transfer Team Ranking | Football Player Ranking GEORGIA © Jeremy Reper-Imagn Images Advertisement Each of the players Georgia lost this spring were expected, which made the program's additions all the more important. On Easter Sunday, the Bulldogs landed commitments from edge defender Elo Modozie, defensive tackle Joshua Horton and running back Josh McCray. Modozie from Army was one of the most coveted defensive players to hit the portal this spring. He should see a lot of playing time this fall. Horton, who left Miami after two seasons, should be able to find his place in the rotation along the defensive line. The addition of McCray is important and should fill the void left by Branson Robinson. Georgia also signed offensive lineman Waltclaire Flynn from UCF. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH GEORGIA FANS AT LSU © Stephen Lew-Imagn Images Advertisement The Tigers have put together one of the very best transfer classes in the nation and did not lose a single player to the transfer portal this spring. Instead, head coach Brian Kelly and company added to their roster in the form of standout defensive tackle Bernard Gooden. The former South Florida defensive tackle plays a priority position for LSU and the Tigers quickly targeted him once he hit the transfer portal. His first visit was to Baton Rouge and the Tigers did not let him leave without committing. Gooden is joining Jack Pyburn, Patrick Payton, Jimari Butler and Sydir Mitchell as part of LSU's defensive line haul this transfer cycle. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH LSU FANS AT MIAMI © Brett Davis-Imagn Images Advertisement The spring transfer window didn't start off great for the Hurricanes but they bounced back when they were able to get receiver Ny Carr to withdraw from the portal. After that Miami had a string of successes, beginning with a commitment from former BYU All-American return man Keelan Marion. The Canes were also able to sign former Texas kicker Bert Auburn, linebacker Kamal Bonner from NC State and receiver Tony Johnson from Cincinnati. Miami is still a contender for some of the portal's top remaining players as well. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH MIAMI FANS AT NORTH CAROLINA © Stephen Lew-Imagn Images Advertisement The Tar Heels didn't make it a secret that they would be active in the spring transfer window and they lived up to their word. Despite losing a few notable players in April, North Carolina did address a few key positions. First thing head coach Bill Belichick did when the portal opened was sign South Alabama standout quarterback Gio Lopez. Former Nebraska linebacker Mikai Gbayor, who transferred to Missouri earlier this year, jumped onboard next along with wide receiver Adrian Wilson, who signed with Colorado in December as part of the Buffs' 2025 recruiting class. North Carolina also prioritized additions along both lines of scrimmage, adding multiple offensive and defensive linemen. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH UNC FANS AT OHIO STATE © Kyle Robertson/Columbus Dispatch / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images Advertisement The national champs didn't have a problem retaining their players this spring and they were still able to add a pair of players at important positions. Their most significant addition was former North Carolina standout Beau Atkinson. The edge defender, who has two years of eligibility remaining, logged more than 600 snaps, 39 quarterback pressures, 12 sacks and two forced fumbles over his first two collegiate seasons. Atkinson's skill set and production are a great fit at a position of need for Ohio State. The Buckeyes also signed former West Virginia offensive lineman Justin Terry, who has four years of eligibility remaining. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH OHIO STATE FANS AT OKLAHOMA © Jerome Miron-Imagn Images Advertisement The spring transfer window went much better for the Sooners than the winter window did. Once the window opened, Oklahoma quickly signed the spring's top available running back in former Cal star Jaydn Ott and coveted offensive lineman Jake Maikkula from Stanford. Those two signings were two of the biggest in the country this spring. Ott and Maikkula figure to be big parts of Oklahoma's revamped offense this coming season. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH OKLAHOMA FANS AT OKLAHOMA STATE © Reinhold Matay-Imagn Images Head coach Mike Gundy and the Cowboys were a near constant presence in the spring transfer window. For a while it seemed like Oklahoma State was signing a player every day. The Cowboys brought in reinforcements at nearly every position on both sides of the ball. Advertisement Two big wins for Oklahoma State this spring were the signings of edge defender Wendell Gregory and offensive lineman Bob Schick. Gregory is a redshirt freshman with a ton of upside and Schick is an experienced offensive lineman with a versatile skill set. Oklahoma State's spring signees number went well into the double-digits and it did not have any major losses. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH OKLAHOMA STATE FANS AT PENN STATE © Mark Konezny-Imagn Images Forget the couple of players Penn State lost this spring because Nittany Lions fans had only one thing on their minds this portal season: Get a dynamic receiver. Head coach James Franklin and company did about as well as they could have hoped for by signing former Syracuse star Trebor Pena. Advertisement As one of the top receivers in the ACC last season, Pena accounted for 941 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on 84 receptions. He has one year of eligibility remaining and he's hoping to make the most of it at Penn State, which has championship aspirations. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH PENN STATE FANS AT PURDUE © Ron Johnson-Imagn Images Head coach Barry Odom and his staff are working on flipping Purdue's roster and they weren't shy about bringing in transfers this spring. The Boilermakers focused on adding players in the defensive front seven, on the offensive line, at wide receiver and quarterback. Advertisement Ryan Browne found his way back to West Lafayette after transferring to North Carolina earlier this cycle. Former Georgia receivers Nitro Tuggle and Michael Jackson III are just two of the four receivers Purdue added this spring. Also from Georgia, the Boilermakers picked up Marques Easley along with a few other offensive linemen. Defensively, Purdue added Sanders Ellis, Ian Jeffries, Breylon Charles and Chalil Cummings. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH PURDUE FANS AT TEXAS © Charles LeClaire-Imagn Images The Longhorns entered the spring transfer season with receiver, defensive tackle, tight end and kicker as their top priorities and they didn't mess around making sure they addressed each of those positions as best as they possibly could. Advertisement Former Stanford receiver Emmett Mosley was the first to jump onboard this spring. The standout sophomore should thrive in his role with Texas. Former Cal tight end Jack Endries has the interest of many in the NFL and he's set to use his last two years of eligibility in Austin. To bring in help at defensive tackle, Texas had to fight off North Carolina to sign Lavon Johnson out of Maryland. The Horns also had to beat Ohio State, Georgia and others to the punch to get former Syracuse standout freshman Maraad Watson on campus first and ultimately sign him. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH TEXAS FANS AT TEXAS TECH © Nathan Giese/Avalanche-Journal / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images Advertisement Continuing on trend from earlier this transfer cycle, the Red Raiders made a few splashes this spring transfer window without losing very much at all. The spring transfer window really kicked off when Texas Tech signed highly regarded Stanford edge defender David Bailey. The program addressed the offensive line by signing impressive young center from Colorado Cash Cleveland. The dramatic exit of former five-star recruit Micah Hudson in the winter was certainly memorable, but the two sides were able to seemingly make amends and Hudson returned to Lubbock after a brief stop at Texas A&M. Texas Tech brought in another receiver as well, Roy Alexander, from Incarnate Word. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH TEXAS TECH FANS AT UCLA © Saul Young/News Sentinel / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images Advertisement It's hard to imagine there being a bigger winner this spring than UCLA. By bringing No. 1 overall transfer prospect Nico Iamaleava home to Los Angeles, the Bruins have set themselves up to have one the most talented quarterback rooms in the nation. Not only does UCLA have its unquestioned 'QB1' for at least the next year, the Bruins also picked up Madden Iamaleava, Nico's younger brother, who should be able to step in once Nico is gone. The Bruins were also able to sign one of the most promising young running backs in college football. Jaivian Thomas is making his way down the coast from Cal to be the lead running back for UCLA. The UCLA secondary also got reinforcements in the form of Jamier Johnson from Indiana and Rodrick Pleasant from Oregon. Advertisement SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH UCLA FANS AT USC © MICHAEL CLUBB/SOUTH BEND TRIBUNE / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images The only loss the Trojans suffered was edge defender Lorenzo Cowan, who ended up at Kentucky. Head coach Lincoln Riley and company landed two defenders who have very high ceilings. The first was safety Kennedy Urlacher, the son of NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Brian Urlacher. The former Notre Dame defensive back made quick work of his transfer process before announcing for USC. A couple of days later, USC officially signed former Penn State linebacker Ta'Mere Robinson, who was primed to play a lot this season for the Nittany Lions. The Trojans also added some help at receiver in former Utah standout Zacharyus Williams, who was very likely the top receiving prospect on the Utes' roster. SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH USC FANS AT
