Telugu superstar Allu Arjun 's DJ: Duvvada Jagannadham released in cinemas in 2017. The action-comedy, directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, is among the actor's most cherished movies to date, and fans can't deny this fact. Well, this beloved film completed 8 years on June 23. To commemorate this milestone, the film's director shared a behind-the-scenes picture from the sets of DJ and penned a heartfelt note.
Taking to his official Instagram handle, he also showered praise on Allu Arjun for bringing sheer energy to the screens with the character Jagannadham.
Tagging Allu Arjun, Pooja Hegde and music composer Devi Sri Prasad, filmmaker Harish Shankar wrote, 'Can't believe it's already 8 years of DJ. Still remember the madness, the swag, and the sheer energy Allu Arjun brought to the screen! Jagannadham wasn't just a character… it was a vibe. #8 Years of DJ."

DJ: Duvvada Jagannadham narrates the tale of a man leading a double life – a modest Brahmin cook and skilled undercover officer. Played by Allu Arjun, the cook named DJ is on a mission to take down a corrupt political empire. But the story takes an intriguing twist when DJ unexpectedly falls head over heels in love with the corrupt politician's daughter, leading to a high-stakes emotional and moral dilemma. The movie earned over Rs 100 crore worldwide, according to Sacnilk.
The film features an ensemble of talented actors, including Pooja Hegde, Rao Ramesh, Subbaraju, Posani Krishna Murali, Tanikella Bharani, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore and Chandra Mohan.
Coming to Allu Arjun's upcoming projects, the actor is busy with several high-profile films currently. He has started shooting for the futuristic sci-fi action thriller, tentatively titled AA22xA6. Helmed by director Atlee, the action-entertainer promises to have cutting-edge visual effects that will be a game-changer for Indian sci-fi cinema. Besides Allu Arjun, Mrunal Thakur and Deepika Padukone are part of the film.
Fans will also see Arjun star in Trivikram Srinivas's Pan-India socio-mythological fantasy film. Touted to be a mythological drama with a contemporary twist, this film marks the actor and director's collaboration. He will also reprise his iconic role, Pushpa, in the highly anticipated sequel, Pushpa 3.
