Syria Reopens Damascus Securities Exchange After Six-Month Suspension
Rana Atef On Monday, the Syrian government reopened the Damascus Securities Exchange (DSE) after a nearly six-month suspension, aiming to stimulate economic activity in the financial sector. The Syrian Commission on Financial Markets and Securities announced the resumption of trading processes with today's session after the decision by Finance Minister Mohammad Yaser Barniya. He confirmed that the reopening follows a series of regulatory reviews, including ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering standards and updating the financial disclosures of listed companies, to prevent any unlawful exploitation of the market. According to the decision, the exchange will operate with only three trading sessions per week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday until further notice. Execution of large-volume transactions will be suspended for one month as part of a phased plan to gradually reactivate the market. The closing price of the session held on December 5, 2024, will serve as the 'reference price' for traded stocks. Palamu edu dept mulls moringa plantations across govt schools
1 2 D altonganj: Officials in the Palamu district education department is mulling to plant Moringa saplings in govt school campuses across the district during this monsoon season. "Our govt schools, primary (classes I to V) and upper primary (classes VI to VIII) have enough space on their campuses. We will motivate the school management committee and Saraswati Vahini Mata Samiti to plant Moringa saplings. If cooked with lentils, Moringa leaves will provide additional nutrition for the students in their mid-day meals (MDM)," district superintendent of education (DSE) Sandeep Kumar said. The are 2,499 primary and upper primary govt schools in Palamu district. At present, MDM have a set menu and consist of eggs, which are served twice a week. "The footfall of students on their respective campuses increases on Monday and Friday when eggs are given. Eggs are proving a major draw for students to their schools," he added. When asked about ragi in the MDM menu in the govt schools, the DSE said, "Ragi is very much in use in the govt schools in Palamu. The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam has declared the result of the Teaching Eligibility Test (TET) 2025. Candidates can check their TET Assam 2025 results on the official website of the DSE — The Assam TET Teachers recruitment test, initially scheduled for December 29, was postponed until January 19. The 150-mark exam was aimed at filling 8230 vacancies for trained graduate teachers (TGT) and 1487 seats for post graduate teacher (PGT) candidates. Candidates were required to re-download their updated admit cards using their application number or date of birth and password from January 3 at 11 am. Step 1: Open the official website of DSE Assam — Step 2: Click on the tab that says 'Online application for the post…'. This will lead you to the next window. Step 3: Click on 'Marksheet/Marksheet cum Admit Card of TCR 2024' Step 4: Write your application number and password. Step 5: View and download your result. The visually impaired candidates were given an additional 20 minutes in the examination. Candidates having 60 per cent marks in the exam will be considered passed and for the reserved category candidates, the marks required are 55 per cent.
