Product safety can often tamper with consumer health due to contamination, design flaws, or labeling errors. ‘Stitch' and ‘Angel' plush bags recalled due to choking hazard
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — More than 2,000 character plush bags from Primark Corporation have been recalled because they pose a choking hazard, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The zipper on the back of the plush 'DTR Plush Bag Stitch,' and 'DTR Plush Bag Angel' bags can detach, causing serious injury or death from choking or ingestion. No injuries have been reported to date. ALSO READ: Baby swings recalled over suffocation risk The plush bags were sold for about $6 in the Northeast and several other states from March through October 2024. Those who purchased the bags should immediately take them away from children. Consumers can return them to any Primark store for a full refund in the original form of payment, according to CPSC.
