50 organisations in Repok benefit from MRP grant distribution

SARIKEI (June 9): A total of 50 organisations and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from the Repok state constituency received minor rural project (MRP) grants in the form of cheques.
Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii said this initiative is part of the government's ongoing efforts to expedite the distribution of assistance and funding to the organisations and NGOs.
'The funds disbursed aims to support local organisations and NGOs in implementing projects and activities that benefit both the local community and their respective associations.
'This initiative is also part of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS)-led Sarawak government's continuous efforts to prioritise the welfare of the people, especially in rural areas,' Huang said.
He made these remarks during the MRP cheque presentation ceremony for DUN Repok, held at Repok constituency service centre office yesterday.
Huang, who is also Sarikei MP added the Sarawak government remains committed to safeguarding the interests of the people and ensuring that no group is left out of development progress.
'Through this effort, we believe it can serve as a platform to foster unity and positively impact the well-being of the people.
'At the same time, we hope that all parties and grant recipients will fully utilise the funds provided in the best possible way,' Huang added.
