Police 'increasingly concerned' for missing Tow Law woman as search enters fourth day

Police are "increasingly concerned" as a major search for a missing Tow Law woman enters its fourth day. Jenny Hall, 23, was last seen leaving her home in Tow Law, County Durham, just after 3pm on Tuesday (February 18). Her car, a red Ford Focus, was found on Wednesday parked on the B6278, near remote moorland between Eggleston and Stanhope. Police yesterday confirmed that they had covered over one hundred miles of land in the search for the 23-year-old as they start to focus their efforts on her 'regular running trails' (Image: SARAH CALDECOTT) Chief Inspector, Dean Haythornthwaite, yesterday confirmed that they do not at this stage believe that there is any third party involvement or suspicion around her disappearance. Jenny Hall, 23, from Tow Law (Image: DURHAM CONSTABULARY) Police officers, mountain rescue teams, sniffer dogs and HM Coastguard air support are involved in the search, which has covered 100 miles. On Friday (February 21), the search concentrated on running trails Ms Hall often uses between Eggleston and Hamsterley. (Image: SARAH CALDECOTT) The terrain and conditions have been described as 'dangerous' as the region battles heavy wind and rain so officers have pleaded with the public to allow the trained professionals to use their structured search plan and specialist equipment to have the space they need to search for Jenny thoroughly and safely. Digital intelligence officers have checked Ms Hall's mobile phone, smartwatch and running apps, but have found no leads.
