Smokey Robinson sues rape accusers for defamation, elder abuse
Musical legend Smokey Robinson has filed legal documents in Los Angeles in response to allegations of sexual assault. He is suing his accusers for $500 million (£370 million). The Motown legend states that he and his wife, Frances, have consistently treated people who work for them with nothing but respect, according to legal documents obtained by The Tracks of My Tears singer likened the legal efforts of the four former employees suing him to a shakedown. He has staunchly denied abusing any of the women, and even compared them to "extended family members". The singer-songwriter and his lawyer noted that he and Frances had gifted the four plaintiffs concert tickets, cash for emergency dental procedures, and other items over the timeframe in which they worked for him. The couple have named the four plaintiffs in the lawsuit, alleging defamation of character, emotional distress, financial elder abuse, invasion of privacy and civil conspiracy, among other charges. Robinson has requested that his accusers be publicly named, as the media has already commenced reporting details of the story, making it impractical for them to stay anonymous. Robinson was named in the $50 million (£37 million) suit from the four plaintiffs, who say the veteran performer committed acts of sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment and gender violence. Robinson has denied all of the allegations against him, which are under investigation.

Former America's Next Top Model: All Stars winner Lisa D'Amato has ripped the show's Tyra Banks and Janice Dickinson in a new interview with The Los Angeles-born D'Amato found fame on the small screen opposite Tyra Banks on America's Next Top Model in the show's fifth cycle in 2005 before winning America's Next Top Model: All Stars six years later, in 2011. Asked for her thoughts on about the stalwart model, D'Amato said, 'When people ask me about Janice Dickinson, still to this day, I'm mostly irritated because she's the self proclaimed 'first supermodel" or whatever - first of all, that's not true ... there's not one thing she has done that has made a positive impact in her entire career. 'She's just a puppet to whatever is trending, she hasn't escalated or raised anyone up. So when people ask me about her, I'm really confused - I don't know ... there's nothing inspiring and she just does whatever's trending.' Asked if Dickinson did anything specific to her when she was on the show, D'Amato said, 'Yes, she started a fight with me for no f***ing reason because the show told her to - her whole career is her playing the victim, being a drug addict, and being the Simon Cowell of America's Next Top Model, and also the entertainment world. 'I'm just over it, like f*** Janice Dickinson, next question please.' A rep for Dickinson told in response, 'Janice has never made it a secret that she was brought onto ANTM to be a Simon Cowell-esque character, which was the climate of the time. 'During Janice's time as a judge, she was in an active addiction and she's had to work hard to maintain that sobriety, while also working hard to take responsibility and make amends with people she did hurt. Dickinson's rep explained to that 'it's important to note she is the only judge who has ever apologized and met up with many of the girls, now women, to discuss their experiences on the program,' while standing 'in solidarity with many of the contestants.' 'Janice has stood Janice is very sorry to hear Lisa didn't have a great experience, both on the show and afterwards, but she wasn't a judge on that cycle and therefore, doesn't know Lisa or why she's being brought up.' The poster went on to say that they felt D'Amato was 'just too smart for her own good and life probably "bores" her as a result so she acts super outrageous to stay entertained.' D'Amato strongly agreed with the assessment, telling exclusively, 'I would say that is 1,000 percent true - I do get very bored. 'I don't have fear, fear doesn't hold me back - I look at fear in the face and I jump right towards it with a f***ing sword! I jump into fires - yeah, that quote is correct, it's so funny.' She described her career path as 'eclectic,' detailing the different endeavors she's explored professionally. 'I've put out three albums in Electra Rap, I've worked with some of the best producers in Los Angeles,' D'Amato said. 'I've modeled since I was 12-years-old, worked with some of the best brands in the world. I went on America's Next Top Model - won the All-Stars.' This is not the first time Worsoff has floated the plans, having first pitched the show during the Obama administration, but Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's appetite for publicity will likely have encouraged him about the viability of the show under the current administration. It is 'in the very beginning stages of that vetting process', a spokeswoman said, adding: 'Each proposal undergoes a thorough vetting process prior to denial or approval.' However, suggestions that Noem had backed the plans were 'completely false', the department's spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said. American Immigration Lawyers president Kelli Stump told the Telegraph: 'From what I've read about this 'idea', my legal thought is 'how?' Congress sets the laws for who can become a citizen and the process on how to become one. Not the President.' Stump said she was horrified by allowing people to compete for citizenship. 'I just feel like making them compete in a Hunger Games / Squid Game reality show really undermines the sacred process… all for what? Ratings? America isn't a TikTok reel.' Already, up to 55,000 US immigrants participate in the Green Card Lottery. Following the verdict, jurors were led out of the courtroom and didn't talk to the media as they departed, the AP reported. Tacopina in a post-verdict statement said jurors 'saw through this mirage of a case' in their swift verdict. The attorney noted that the rapper 'turned down a plea for almost no jail time because he was innocent.' A$AP Rocky on Tuesday had been more than a half-hour late in arriving for the verdict reading - and 'looked shaken and tense as he waited for it,' the AP reported. Tacopina said that 'there was a moment when before we heard the words from the clerk, he didn´t know if he was going to be spending the next two decades in jail or going home.' Tacopina said A$AP Rocky's physical reaction to the verdict - leaping in celebration after hearing he was legally cleared - was 'insane' in a wonderful way. 'I didn´t know how athletic he was,' Tacopina said. 'That was raw emotion, you guys got to see that. Even for us it was insane.' District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman's office released a statement on Instagram after A$AP Rocky was cleared in the case. 'While today's verdict is not the outcome we sought, we respect the jury's decision and the integrity of our justice system,' Hochman said. He added, 'Our office remains committed to seeking accountability for those who break the law, no matter their status or influence. Hochman said that Hollywood celebrities should not expect special treatment if they break the law. 'Fame does not place anyone above the law, and we will not waver in our pursuit of justice for victims and the community,' Hochman said. 'Our mission remains clear: to uphold the law, protect public safety, and ensure justice for all.' A$AP Rocky, whose recent singles include Highjack, Tailor Swif and Ruby Rosary, has a busy slate professionally following the conclusion of the case. Next month, he will be at the Rolling Loud music festival in Los Angeles, as he's one of the principle headliners along with Playboi Carti and Peso Pluma. This May, he's slated to be a celebrity co-chair at the Met Gala, where Rihanna has made for multiple memorable moments in the past. North donned a matching cowhide jacket and shorts combination along with black Nike high crew socks and a pair of black leather Rick Owens sneakers which retail for $1,200. She accessorized with several long silver necklaces including turquoise and silver earrings. She added a bit of color to her hair in the form of varying shades of blue which were pulled into long braids which cascaded down to her hip. North donned plenty of make-up including a swipe of nude lip. Her mother went hell for leather in a long bodycon dress with matching large fedora. The look was definitely representative of the 'Tailoring Black Style' theme as it took inspiration from the zoot suit outfits worn by Black men in the 1930s and 1940s. Kim accessorized with several diamond necklaces which cascaded down her chest along with matching dangling earrings. Her raven-colored locks were worn down and though most of her face was covered up by her fashionable headwear, it could be seen that she was wearing plenty of make-up. This comes days after Kim's ex Kanye West complained about not seeing his kids in a livestream Wednesday. The Chicago native, 47, who has publicly clashed with ex-wife Kim about the co-parenting of North. On Wednesday, West vented about not seeing her, as well as his three younger kids - daughter Chicago, seven; and sons Saint, nine, and Psalm, five as he ranted in a room while clad in an all-black ensemble and a mask. 'F*** all these f***** n*****,' said West, who was recently banned from Twitch. 'I'mma go get these kids, bro. I'm talking to the lawyers - it gets to the point where I don't lose my f***in' mind where I got to get used to not seeing my kids.' Tal-Or Cohen Montemayor, the founder and executive director of CyberWell, an online anti-Semitism watchdog group, told February 11 that the organization made efforts to go over West's head and have the page removed.
