Government fully supports implementation of Jyotiba temple development plan: Fadnavis

Kolhapur: The govt is fully behind implementation of Jyotiba Temple development plan, chief minister said on Thursday. The inauguration of 'Dakkhan Kedaranya' tree plantation programme was held at Wadi Ratnagiri in Kolhapur district. A programme was organised at Torana Kada attended by public health and family welfare minister Prakash Abitkar, medical education minister Hasan Mushrif, MP Dhairyasheel Mane, MLA Dr Vinay Kore, MLA Ashokrao Mane, along with district collector Amol Yedge, superintendent of police Yogesh Kumar Gupta, chief executive officer S. Karthikeyan, NHAI and forest department officials. Fadnavis said, "In an area of thirty acres in Wadi Ratnagiri hill area, ten thousand different Indian trees mentioned in the Kedar Vijay Granth are being planted to create a rare 'Dakkhan Kedaranya'. Nature has been given utmost importance in our history, culture, and our beliefs. All our gods and goddesses are in harmony with nature. Without serving nature, our prayers do not reach any deity." The state-level cabinet recently approved the work of the Rs 259 crore development plan. The main objective of this is to make Jyotiba hill green. While implementing this plan, a demand has been made for an amendment that the necessary funds should be provided by the planning department, and Fadnavis assured that it will be completed in the near future. The CM also assured that he would soon approve the establishment of an authority so that this development plan can be implemented through an authority. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Union minister Nitin Gadkari said, "Ethics, economics, ecology, and environment are three important things for smooth functioning of social life. Our eco-friendly work is important to fulfil Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream of making India a carbon-neutral country by 2070." Stating that the construction of projects like 'Dakkhan Kedaranya' is important, he explained the importance of the environment through various examples. Gadkari also suggested to the district administration that an oxygen bird park should be built during the implementation of this development plan. MLA Dr Vinay Kore said, "While implementing the temple development plan, no project will be implemented without the support of villagers. The villagers will also participate in the authority being established, and their opinions will be taken into consideration."
