John Cena
is one of the biggest names in the world of wrestling and is currently on his Farewell Tour. All this while, he is also maintaining his Hollywood commitments and being an unapologetic ARMY.
And no, we are not talking about the military one, but the musical fandom one. Cena is very outspoken about his love for the K-pop band Bangtan Sonyendan or BTS, and during his latest public appearance at the Dallas Fan Expo, he once again shared his love for the South Korean sensation.
John Cena on why he gravitates towards BTS
John Cena
was recently at a Fan Expo in Dallas when he spoke of his love for all things BTS. He has always been very candid about his ARMY status in the K-pop fandom and has often spoken of their impact.
Not just on the public and the fans, but also on himself. And that is exactly what he reiterated at Dallas once again.
"I don't necessarily like K-pop; I gravitate towards BTS,"
said the
WWE
veteran while sharing how the band inspired him at a time when he was struggling with self-worth. He further added:
"What BTS specifically did for me is that they found me at the right time in my life to give me hope and inspiration through who they are as people. They reached a 48-year-old dude who was struggling with self-worth."
It's been years since the wrestling legend began waving the purple flag, having spoken of BTS and the message of self-love they have tried to spread all over the world in numerous public appearances.
And with the band reuniting after their mandatory military service this month, it looks like Cena found another opportunity to share his love for them.
John Cena is gearing up for some tag team extravaganza at Money in the Bank
WWE is hosting
Money in the Bank
on June 7 and it will be a night of some brilliant performances by the wrestling stars in the company. John Cena will face Cody Rhodes once more since that unforgettable night in Las Vegas. But this time, they will have company, as Rhodes will be backed by Jey Uso, and Cena will have Logan Paul at his side for the upcoming tag team match.
The PPV event will be held at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, and is already speculated to be one for the books, given it's the first MITB to be broadcast live on Netflix for the international market. Other than the tag team match, there will be the men's and women's money in the bank ladder match as well as the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship last chance battle between Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch.
Let's wait and see how the night turns out to be.
