Bangladeshi man killed in Bandar Utama highway collision
PETALING JAYA: A 26-year-old Bangladeshi man was killed in a road accident involving a motorcycle and a luxury vehicle on in Bandar Utama early this morning.
The incident, which occurred near the Sungai Penchala toll plaza heading towards One Utama, resulted in the victim's motorcycle being engulfed in flames.
The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said a distress call was received at 7.15am and a team from the Damansara Fire and Rescue Station was immediately dispatched.
A total of seven personnel were deployed and the first responders arrived at the scene by 7.27am.
"Upon arrival, firefighters found the motorcycle 80 per cent destroyed.
"The rider, identified as a Bangladeshi national, was pronounced dead at the scene," the Fire and Rescue Department said.
Authorities are currently still investigating the cause of the accident.
