Auburn football 2025 snapshot profile: Damari Alston Senior Damari Alston is ready to lead the Auburn RB room after sitting behind Jarquez Hunter for two seasons.
The biggest question surrounding Auburn's offense ahead of the 2025 season is its running back room.
The chatter across the Plains, and the rest of the country for that matter, is quarterback Jackson Arnold and the talented receiving corps that will surround him. However, following the departure of Jarquez Hunter, Hugh Freeze must develop a pecking order for carries, and Damari Alston is ready to take charge.
Alston, a senior, will head up Auburn's talented running back room that also houses junior Jeremiah Cobb and true freshman Alvin Henderson. Cobb and Henderson will both see action this season as they prepare to lead the group in 2026, but expect Alston to take the lead. He has not had to carry as much of a load in his career, but everything about his attempts says that he is ready for the role. Alston rushed for 276 yards last season, with 160 of those yards coming after contact and seven rushes going for 10-or-more yards. Expect Alston to be a great leader in 2025 and to help mold the future of the Tigers' run game.
