First Group of Bahraini Pilgrims Departs for Hajj

As the first light of dawn broke on Friday, a deeply anticipated moment finally arrived — the hearts of Bahraini pilgrims set out for Mecca, preceding even their physical journey. The first group of over 250 Hajj pilgrims departed the Kingdom early Friday morning through Bahrain International Airport, King Fahd Causeway, and Dammam International Airport. The group was filled with a mix of emotions — longing, awe, anxiety, and gratitude — as they embarked on their sacred journey, honored to be among those chosen to perform Hajj this year. Tears streamed down the faces of elderly pilgrims as they took their first steps, overwhelmed with emotion and thankfulness. Young men and women carried with them dreams and hopes, now transformed into the reality of performing the fifth pillar of Islam. Mothers whispered heartfelt prayers as their loved ones boarded planes, climbing the steps with a sense of divine purpose. The first leg of the journey was marked by smooth facilitation and efficient coordination by relevant authorities, ensuring a comfortable and organized departure from Bahrain to the holy sites. Internal transfers through the King Fahd Causeway and Dammam Airport were also well-managed, reflecting strong logistical planning. 'Words cannot describe this feeling — it truly feels like a divine gift to be one of God's guests this year.' Another pilgrim who has performed Hajj ten times before shared: 'Even after so many pilgrimages, every time feels like the first. It's a spiritual experience that never fades.' A first-time pilgrim added: 'I can't describe my joy. Despite all the challenges, I'm here by the grace of God, ready to experience the awe and reverence of standing before the Kaaba.'
