Police make near 250 arrests and attend 1,500 incidents in one month across Basildon

Basildon-based police officers made almost 250 arrests in one month as they work to tackle crime and secure justice for victims across the borough. During the same time last month, officers attended almost 1,500 incidents including almost 750 emergencies. Chief Inspector Dan McHugh, District Commander for Basildon, said: 'These arrests represent the work that takes place day in, day out to bring suspects into custody, solve crime, and secure justice. 'People across our district have my commitment that our work to reduce crime, keep them safe, and secure justice for them will not stop.'
