Twin Peaks star says late director David Lynch was a ‘father figure'
Dana Ashbrook, who played Bobby Briggs in Twin Peaks, reflected on his relationship with the late director David Lynch, describing him as a "father figure."
Ashbrook recalled his initial impression of Lynch as "crazy" after being shown art made with chicken manure.
Ashbrook noted that the cast would spend their days off watching Lynch work, highlighting the positive impact of their time with him.
The British Film Institute (BFI) announced a season celebrating David Lynch's career, including screenings of his films, shorts, and music videos, starting in January.
Kyle MacLachlan, a frequent collaborator of Lynch, described his work as "essential" and said that Lynch's art speaks to a deeper part of us in a way that no one else does. David Lynch died in January 2025 at the age of 78.
