Dr Shriram Nene posts heartfelt message for wife Madhuri Dixit on her birthday: ‘I'd choose you all over again in a heartbeat'
Actor Madhuri Dixit celebrated her 58th birthday today. Her husband, Dr Shriram Nene posted pictures with his wife and children on Instagram, along with a beautiful caption where he describes the actor as the 'light' in his life. The caption of the post read, Happy birthday to the one who's brightened our lives in every way. You've made everything lighter, warmer, and better—just by being you. I'd choose you all over again in a heartbeat. Thank you for the love, the laughter, and the light you bring. Here's to us and to many more beautiful years ahead. I love you, always.' The post featured pictures of the couple with their two sons, Arin and Ryan. A post shared by Dr. Shriram Nene (@drneneofficial) Madhuri Dixit and Dr Shriram Nenek tied the knot in 1999, and while it's not unnatural for Bollywood stars to marry out of the industry, Madhuri's decision was still discussed plenty. Shortly after the marriage, Madhuri decided to leave Bollywood right at the peak of her career and wouldn't return for more than a decade. On Dr Nene's podcast the couple talked about the comfort that comes with anonymity in the US, even though there were instances when fans would find her address in Denver and wait in front of her house. 'Once there was a car parked right outside my gate, and people were sitting inside it for a long time. My neighbour then called me, 'I think there is something happening. There's a car right outside your door, and it hasn't moved in the past three hours. Should we call the police? I am scared.' I told her, Don't be scared. I'm sure it's just someone who wants to take a look at me,' added the actor. 'My parents were living with me (in the US); they were getting old, and they wanted to return to India. That's why we started thinking about it. We felt the kids would also get to live in India. In the US, you are living in a bubble.' It seems that after all these years the couple has made a successful transition to India. Madhuri even shared an anecdote while talking to Google about how her husband made friends with Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Farah Khan on the dance floor. 'We were at this party, and they were like, 'Oh, you have to dance, Dr Nene. You have to dance.' We were shooting for all this (Dance with Madhuri), and he has picked up a lot by just watching. And he was so good on the floor that Farah came up to me and said, 'He is going to be my next dance partner now.'' Since returning to India, Madhuri Dixit has appeared in films like Dedh Ishqiya (2014). Gulaab Gang (2014), Kalank (2019) and Bhool Bhulayiaa 3 (2024).

Madhuri Dixit's husband Dr Nene danced with Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan; ‘impressed' Farah Khan chose him as dance partner: ‘Bollywood is another world'
Madhuri Dixit's husband Dr Sriram Nene grew up in the US and soon after tying the knot, Madhuri too moved there to live with him. As per Dr Nene's own admission, he had no idea about the Hindi film industry when he got married to Madhuri so when he moved back to Mumbai in 2011 with the family, the idea of adjusting in Bollywood must have seemed a little alien. At an earlier chat at Google, Madhuri shared that Dr Nene wasn't much of a dancer when he met her but when he attended a Bollywood party with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan and danced, choreographer Farah Khan was so impressed that she chose him as her dance partner. At the chat hosted about a decade ago, which was attended by both Madhuri and Sriram, when he was asked about his dancing skills, he shared that he has gotten better with time. 'Some of the parties we have been to, and some of the things she has taught me, it's another world,' he shared in the conversation shared on the YouTube channel Talks at Google. Madhuri then shared an anecdote of them attending a Bollywood party and said, 'We were at this party and they were like 'Oh, you have to dance, Dr Nene you have to dance' and everyone was insisting and there was Hrithik and Shah Rukh and Farah and everyone,' she said. Madhuri said that she took Dr Nene to the dance floor and he surprised everyone. 'So I had to grab him and say, 'You have to dance'. And he was like 'oh my god',' she said. At this time, they were promoting the platform 'Dance with Madhuri' and she shared that while shooting for the website, Dr Nene started picking up a lot of things. 'I am like, we were shooting for all this (Dance with Madhuri) and he has picked up a lot, by just watching. And he was so good on the floor that Farah came up to me and said, 'He is going to be my next dance partner now.' He is free-spirited and he loves to learn and he is very observant,' she said and added that he had also taken some classes called 'Dance for the non-dancers'. 'My folks are from Mumbai. I spoke Marathi, but I didn't know Hindi. We didn't watch Hindi movies growing up. The other thing is, I was at UCLA, and we took care of a lot of the Hollywood industry. And I'll be very candid with you, the industry there is completely crazy. The types of people that you meet… The last thing I want to do is see someone from the film industry. But then, I met her brother. And he was phenomenal and very down-to-earth. He kind of fit our overall mindset. I agreed to meet her, and I probably might've googled her back then,' he said.
