Spartans offer Iowa State commit, 3-star DL Daniel Howard Three-star defensive lineman Daniel Howard committed to Iowa State last month Michigan State football is working to flip a Big 12 commit from the Windy City. Defensive lineman Daniel Howard of Chicago announced on Thursday that he's received an offer from the Spartans. Howard announced the offer from the Spartans via his social media X account. Howard is a three-star prospect in the 2026 class that is currently committed to Iowa State. He has been committed to the Cyclones since early April. Howard ranks as the No. 69 defensive lineman in 247Sports' rankings for the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 12 player from Illinois in the class. Michigan State is one of nearly 10 schools to extend an offer to Howard. He also holds offers from Iowa State, Kansas State, Cincinnati, Kansas, Northern Illinois, Toledo and Illinois State. Pueblo Police seeking info on car spotted near scene of 2022 homicide
(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) is looking for information on a car and person spotted in the area of a 2022 homicide on the south side of Pueblo. According to PPD, 23-year-old Daniel Howard was shot and killed in an apartment complex parking lot on Feb. 4, 2022 near Lake Minnequa. On the day of the crime, officers were initially informed shortly before midnight that a shooting victim was being taken to the hospital. Despite medical attention, Howard was pronounced dead at the hospital. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: Pueblo police investigate death of 23-year-old in parking lot shooting Officers determined that the shooting had occurred in the parking lot of the Pueblo Village Apartments on Alma Avenue. On Feb. 6, 2024, PPD posted photos on X (formerly Twitter) of a possible vehicle and person that were allegedly in the area of the homicide in 2022. PPD said this person may have witnessed something that could be pertinent to the investigation.
