£3.1 million Tudor manor house for sale in rural village
A seven-bedroom Tudor manor house has gone up for sale in the Golden Valley, with a price tag of £3,150,000. Set in 16 acres of land, the house comes with four holiday cottages, and includes various outbuildings, with a barn and gym included in the sale. Based near Pontrilas and Abbey Dore, the land is partially bordered by the River Monnow, with views of the nearby countryside. According to agents Chancellors, the house was formerly a hotel until 2014, but it has the potential to return to a commercial estate. The main house was built in the 1400s, and has retained some of the original features such as Jacobean oak panelling and an Elizabethan/Tudor ceiling in the sitting room.
