Danville Rotary Club selling flag donations for Memorial Day tradition
DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — The Danville Rotary Club is looking to keep an annual tradition alive with support from the public.
For the last 25 years, the club has lined the streets of Danville with American flags on Memorial Day. The flags, donated by the public, include the name of a deceased servicemember or anyone whom the donor chooses, civilian or military.

This year's flags are available for purchase through May 19. The proceeds will go toward the Vermilion County War Museum, the Sparky Songer Scholarship at DACC and community projects by the Danville Rotary Club.

People who want to volunteer their time and plant flags along Vermilion Street can meet in the parking lot of Schlarman Academy at 8 a.m. on May 23.
