Black Bears sign Darion Benchich to squad
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Binghamton Black Bears hockey team announced today that they are welcoming a new player to their roster, a straight-out of college player fresh off his final collegiate season.
Darion Benchich joins the Black Bears as the first collegiate-signee of the season. He previously played 5 seasons with the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen, and wrapped up his final season with the side Saturday. Across five seasons with the Dutchmen, he appeared in 104 games, recording 22 goals and 40 assists. He will be eligible to play for Binghamton as early as this Friday, February 28th.
The Black Bears are next in action on the 28th at 7 against the Dashers.
