Family searching for answers after loved one went missing at work in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — It's been a week since a family says their loved one went to work in New Orleans and never came back.
'We expect the Port of New Orleans and for QSL to do something to find my nephew,' said the aunt of 42-year-old Darius Clement, Veronica Clement.
The Clement family is looking for answers after they say on April 22, Darius Clement went to work but never returned.
His aunt explains he has worked at QSL on First Street Wharf for about four years and loved his job.

However, the family received a call from crew members stating while working on a barge, they couldn't find him.
'The harbor police said that they had sent a boat out and they just didn't know where he was. They had been working on, and this vessel was allowed to leave the port that morning without being searched. There's no evidence that a search took place,' said Veronica Clement.
The next morning when they went looking for answers they were denied entry, and said they'd been put on the backburner.
'Every single day calling the Harbor Police, calling Osha, calling them, the company that he worked for, and we keep getting no comment,' said Veronica Clement.
Officials with Harbor Police say they are continuing to search the river for Darius Clement. A missing person report was filed on April 23 when they received the call.

However, his aunt wants to know who is in charge of the cameras and why they are not able to see them.
'Told by QSL the cameras are manned by the harbor police. I'm told by the Harbor Police, they only manned the cameras that run along the outside. QSL is responsible for the cameras to be working inside,' said Veronica Clement.
With no clear answers, the family is staying hopeful he will return home.
'He was committed to that company, and I just think it's awful that the answers that we get are no comment. We are left with our hope, we continue to pray,' said Veronica Clement.
