Man pleads guilty to Orleans Parish manslaughter
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A man pled guilty to manslaughter in the shooting death of Darriel King.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, police responded to a shooting at the Wits Inn bar April 7, 2024. They found King suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Following an investigation, police arrested Tirrel Gilmore. According to the New Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office, the case presented evidentiary challenges, such as an absence of surveillance footage capturing the actual moment of the shooting. The footage only showed events leading up to the shooting.
Gilmore was sentenced to 10 years in prison as part of a plea times for Men's College World Series revealed
