He graduated from Delone Catholic High School in 1994. Soon he'll be its principal
For the first time at Delone Catholic High School, a graduate of the school has been named its principal. In a release from Delone Catholic High School and the Diocese of Harrisburg, the school announced that David J. Staub has been named the new principal of the high school, effective July 1, 2025. Staub is a 1994 graduate of Delone, according to the release, marking the first alumnus of the school to serve as its principal. Four generations of Staub's family have attended the school, the release shared. 'I am incredibly grateful and deeply honored to return to my Alma Mater, Delone Catholic High School, now in the role of principal," said Staub in the release. "This community helped shape who I am, and I'm truly excited to give back and help guide the next generation of Squires in faith, learning, and service." Staub was a mathematics teacher at Delone from 2016 to 2021, then served as principal of St. Joseph Catholic School and St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School prior to taking on the new role at Delone. In addition, Staub has served as an assistant coach for Delone's football team, most recently in the role of defensive coordinator since 2016. In the releases, the school additionally acknowledged the contributions and service of William Lippe, the outgoing principal for Delone, who has served in the role since 2021. Adams County high school appoints new principal
ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Delone Catholic High School has announced that David J. Staub will serve as the new principal. Bishop of Harrisburg Timothy C. Senior, along with the Board of Directors, announced that David J. Staub is a resident of McSherrystown who received his bachelor's degree from Lebanon Valley College and a master's degree from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. He has a history of service in the Catholic schools in the Diocese, working as a math teacher at Delone Catholic, principal at Saint Joseph Catholic School in Hanover, and currently serving as Principal at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School in McSherrystown.
